Gilbert doesn't need anything like that. He's been plating up Pathia and rice for so long he can do that just by eye. I do love seeing a craftsman at work

Mashed tatie butty.

Made a Shepard's pie with a twist. Used up some left over minced beef in gravy. Chucked in some nice chunks of red onion, courgette and pepper. Added a tin of chopped tomato. Tipped it in a cooking dish, topped it with mashed potato, then put a couple of handfuls of grated cheese and let it go crispy.

Take away ordered and the measuring equipment with set squares has arrived, so that curry can look tidy
