where abouts did you fish? Pevensey bay?
we ended up on cliff road just to the west of Hill Head tonight, fished from 8.30pm till 1.30am (high tide 1.52am), i caught one just after midnight and lost one 20 mins later, didnt bother weighing it as it was only small (~6lb), the one i lost though i had to give it line straight away.. rod bent double, it was off after ~5 seconds, much bigger hound :(. my 2 mates blanked, probably due to not casting far enough tbh but we only fished 1 rod each (cant fish 2 rods if the hounds are fishing well, even a 5lb'er will take your rod for a swim).
if i was fishing on my own or with people who knew what they were doing i would have got down there later (midnight) and stayed till 3am (2 up 1 down), but as my mates are novices i had to get down there and set them up before dark.

dont know how this happened but when i unpacked my zippy i found the tip eye 90 degrees from where it should be :( i managed to twist it back but it took loads of force to do it which left me even more puzzled

weve still got some crabs left so might go back monday afternoon for the 4pm high tide.

Waiting for the rain to stop so I can cycle down to M&S for their 'Dine In' deal. 2 mains, a side, two desserts and a bottle of wine for a tenner. Bargain.
 
On the menu tonight, nacho chips in the oven with fresh chilli, coriander, lime and cheese. Followed by chilli con carne, rice and a dab of soured cream! Perfect post hangover, TV watching comfort food with the missus.
 
just bought some marmite but i completely forgot my toaster was broken and i threw it away last week. i'm making do with a marmite sandwich. :p
