The **Now Eating** Thread

Made myself an omelette for breakfast. 2 eggs, dash of milk, some ham and a bit of cheese on top. Can't believe how big it got, had to force myself to eat the 2nd cob because no one wanted it as they already ate!

6 packs of mini Oreos and half a cinnamon Soreen loaf. WITH Lurpak, ofc. :D

Now going on a 6mile run, fuel for the fire and all that.

My starter for tonight - Iberico ham with goats cheese and baby spinach, sprinkled with a touch of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Very tasty indeed. This is, of course, the ham I bought from the Groupon deal I posted in another thread. Such a good buy.

Good luck tight lines, that was 1.2kg and the fishmonger wanted £25 for it.

Where are you fishing? are you targeting Bass? very jelly

£25 , we'l be using peeler crab again so bass/smooth hound is what we hope to catch.. its a small tide though so im not overly optomistic, we'l be somewhere around the Lee-on-the-solent area

Not exactly eating them now, but will be soon. A work colleague of mine has a greenhouse and she gave me these from her latest crop. These peppers, or at least a couple of them anyway, will be going into my next batch of pasta :D

Well good luck again hope you catch.

Fishmonger wanted £20 a kilo, Sainsbury want £22 a kilo for fillets and Waitrose want £15 a kilo for whole farmed Greek ones which I'm not a fan of so for my purposes probably a tad dearer. I wish I live nearer the sea just to get to a fishmonger, the nearest I have direct from the boats is Hove or Eastbourne which are £20 ish of fuel and 1/2 a day out.

same as that, im >100 mile round trip away from my nearest beach :( i try to take a mate or 2 to share the fuel costs

Dungeness is my closest guaranteed (as much as that can be said about fishing) but that's 55 mile away and apparently chaos with so many people fishing there, the drag left to right means lines are tangled all over the place and that's not really why I go fishing.

Tonight had parents round, made a chicken dinner then a lemon and blueberry baked cheesecake which was divine. Sadly I have now had a bottle of wine to myself and have had another helping of leftover cheesecake, plus a bit more out of the tin. Gym needed tomorrow :(
