Why call it a beet root salad? Why not call it a lettuce salad? As I'm sure lettuce was part of the salad, probably a bigger part....

Just for you

Raw goats milk curdled drained and pressed
Rolled in crumbed, baked flour, butter, yeast, salt and water.
Baked
Lettuce
Beetroot baked cooled and sliced
Chopped Walnuts
Olives crushed and spun in a centrifuge with the separated oil drizzled with some balsamic vinegar

I'd say it's because of the the strongest flavour within the salad and the beet root being quite the colourful part of it and not a usual ingredient. Lettuce will appear in a lot of salads as it's a main ingredient across many, beet root won't appear in as many and as such I think it's better being named as such.

That said the same logic may not always be applied I guess but that's what I think. :)
 
Feta stuffed peppers, jalaoeo stuffed olives and sundries tomatoes.
Hadley really wearily today and then had a few hours sleep, so woke up and needed a top up. Was so tempted by the pasties and ice cream, but managed to resist.

Had to fight down the little voice screaming CHEESEBURGERS!!!! in my head on the way home. Came thiiiiiis close to going to McDonalds. But I didn't...

Bowl of heinz sausage and veg soup for supper instead.
