The **Now Eating** Thread

Tried a BOL Keralan Coconut Chicken
And was shocked at how nice it was, might try some more of the higher end ready meals for lunch at work.

Kind of changed my mind on ready meals as normal ready meals are well disgusting. Sloppy tasteless lasagnes, crappy sweet flavourless Chinese etc.

What's BOL again?

Brand name.

That looks cooked to perfection, just how i like it. I always found when I lived out there that it was best to ask for one grade more done than you wanted it. So if you wanted rare as we have it ask for medium rare. Funnily in the little non touristy places they used to check if that was what I really wanted, they seemed to think everyone from the UK wanted it incinerated :D

Tonight for me smoked salmon linguine

Well still got man flu, so tried some more ready meals.

Spag bol, disgusting.

Then tonight satay beef, rice and veg. Not bad, has the slight issue of everything being in same container so all components aren't cooked perfectly. But perfectly acceptable could have done with some kimchi on the side. It's no wagamas or home made though.

What, I quite like it.
Especially the Donburi.

Not much to **** up with that sort of food, rice or noodles, marinated meat, and raw/flash fried veg.

Well, to be fair, some of it is probably okay. I've not tried everything on the menu. I've been deeply disappointed the few times I've been in recent years despite at one point quite liking their food.

Made up a nice big batch of Pathia, picked up some king prawns on offer for me and some chicken thighs for the wife.

Think it may be my favourite curry!

I'm suffering too Glaucus and have been on the 'ready' meals.

Today I cooked two of the Tesco prepared chicken breast fillets, a tray of oven roast veg and as I fancied something 'naughty' a cauliflower cheese.

Wasn't too bad, was impressed with the chicken breast.
