**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Ulitimate preset is not maximum settings and probably not even close.:D

The only difference between Ultimate preset and actual maximum setting is Shadows is one setting lower, everything else is maxed.

I think they probably turned off TressFX too.

I don't think ultimate preset turns up the AA or turns on tresFX, and yes the shadows are one setting lower.

Another review that is economical and inaccurate with their facts.:D

Your right it doesn't. just the low level FXAA. whatever settings they are using they are weak.

They should see how we do it, properly :D

Aslong as they used the same settings for both driver tests then its ok I suppose.

With testing I prefer it when max settings are used as this removes possible problems with CPU bottlenecks.

Fortunately TR has a very high ceiling before you hit a CPU bottleneck.

Ok installed the new drivers and in the new gf experience im getting somit strange.

All games say now 2048x1526 res instead of 1080p. I only have a 1080p monitor a 22in acer x223hq and a smaller 19" tft for 2nd mon.

Both use vga connections unfortuatly as my dell st2410 with dvi had failed hence the cheap £20 22in mon i managed to find. Dunno if vga is the cause of these res recommendations or if its the new drivers.

I do notice in the new drivers at the bottom theres a "virtual reality pre-rendered frames set to 1. I presume thats cos of the VR talk on the stream tonight for the new cards coming out. Cant see the dynamic resolution setting yet, maybe only visable for the new cards, weird considering u can do it now just by making a new custom res. :/
