**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Smoothness controls how blurry the final image is, the lower the percentage the sharper the final image is but it has artefacts.

I have mine set to 20%

Ah ok, makes sense. I noticed a few anomalies towards bottom of screen on desktop when I hovered cursor around the taskbar, kinda like there was a magnifying glass effect going on for a brief second or to (that was at 20% also).

Have you tried adding more DSR factors?

Thats how I managed to get more resolutions for D3. Initially it was only 1 res available

EDIT: Anyone can tell me how to get DSR working with Alien? It wont come up in the game list even after adding the specific Alien folder

Set DSR in global settings, then just select the higher resolutions in-game mate. Alien profile doing that for me also.

For anyone not sure what to do, click the red arrow but you will have to wait a little bit for it to retrieve your current game settings.

Just been playing FIFA 15 @ 5K 144hz, the image is so crisp its unreal. Did have some flickering issues though. Will have a play about with it more over the weekend.

Anyone know why this and the previous driver causes my gpu core to not down clock?

My gpu clock run 1137 in game and only drops to 1019 when not gaming now. Drivers have been installed after a thorough clean.

Tried adaptive power management too and it doesn't help.

It was yep, only asked as clocks don't drop all the way at 1440/144 due to bandwidth reasons.

A strange one then, have you tried a ddu sweep and clean install?

Thanks for trying to help. I have found that the cause was shadow play.

This doesn't happen with any other driver except the last two, no idea why.

Thanks again.:)

OK, nvidia noob here, only moved from AMD a few weeks back. Inno3D Ichill 780ti.

I have a 1920x1080 monitor with 120hz refresh rate.

Would turning DSR on make my gaming experience betterm, would I see any negatives and lastly what settings would be best for my setup?

DSR basically renders the game at a higher res so if your card can't run a game at a decent frame rate at say 4k its pointless.

If it can then upscaling from 1080p to 4k will eliminate most jagged edges so think of it as a better form of AA.

It does need a lot of power though. Maybe at first just upscale to 1600p and have a play with your games and see if you can spot the image quality differences

Was looking to set 2560x1440 in bf4, (as that will be my next monitor upgrade). However theres no option available, just 2560x1600.

A quick google of your monitor in sig suggests it is 16:10 (1920x1200) ? If so then likely it will only show you 16:10 DSR options (2560x1440 is 16:9) :)

Turn DSR off. Set your custom refresh rates up. Turn DSR back on.

Soon as i turn DSR on my custom resolutions and refresh rates disapper.
Isnt too much of a issue i'll just run at my native resolution for windows again until i sort a new screen one day
Been running 1440p at 59 hz for about a year plus no issues on my 1080 screen ,, at 60hz the text is unreadable :(
