**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Single card is fine for me on the DOG swift but 3 cards Isn't. 16 screws to take the side of my case off, so can't be bothered to try 2 cards :D

16 screws, mate leave them off and invest in a ball of blu tac, will hold the side panel on fine.:D

Hopefully for swift users there'll be a fix along soon. Great feature this, even though it does let you know how **** your setup will be at 4k. Just makes you want to spend more.:D

Tested a few things at 4K down sampled to 1080p. Looks better D/S'ed with no AA than 1080p with 8xMSAA IMO.

Will test more tomorrow.

Really liking this DSR feature a lot easier when I tried downsampling few moons ago

My gtx 670 ****ed itself when I tried 4K in Alien :D

Got some weird artifact in bf4 earlier, using 4k on high settings. Looked like a very tall mountain texture ir something. Seen a similair thing once on nf3 though which I screenshotted at the time. Will upload it when back on the pc. At that time I thought it was a faulty card but iirc soon after my ssd died. Hopefully just a one off.

I had that as well in Skyrim, I think it's just a side effect of DSR which is still kind of in open beta really.

DSR / supersampling should always beat any form of msaa.

Msaa won't touch jagged edges visible on a surfaces' shader, as it only works on the edges of polygons.

Any game that uses a lot of bump, normal or transparency maps will get a huge benefit from DSR or supersampling.

There's a good write-up, including pictures :), here on DSR :

Anyone know how to take screenshots whilst using DSR? Tried fraps but it just crashes the game. Strange thing though is that it can still take videos, which end up being 4K video capture.

Cool feature though, especially with older games.

Yes but when your trying to show what dsr at 4k image quality is like to show a mate and then think ill stick it on forums too i decided to use png so less compression otherwise whats the point in showing it if theres compression artifacts, might as well just have shown a 1080p normal screenie. :/

So jpg - normal screenies
png when trying to show the truest image u can as bmp would have been far higher filesize.

Edit but just for you and because i dont think photobucket was showing it properly at the right res.
