**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Well after playing around abit I've found my 980 Ti Classified does not like the latest WHQL's but loves the dev drivers posted a page back.

WHQL's can't clock the memory 1 bit and the core only goes up to 1460, With the dev drivers mem clocks to 2200 and core goes to 1510, All 3DMark, Vantage and game stable.

If you don't use Shield streaming and GeForce Exp then stop the shield streamer service. It really does make a difference (at least it did for me)

355.98?

I disabled the streaming service and shadowplay went off.

I know what happened.

I had shadowplay turned off already before i disabled streaming service, after disabling it i couldn't turn shadowplay on, after disabling it with shadowplay on shadowplay is still running, but if turning shadowplay off you can't turn it back on with streaming service disabled.

I think something funky must be going on, On your end then as I have the streaming service disabled and I just disabled shadowplay and re-enabled it just fine.

Hi,

I've a question regarding the Nvidia drivers that have been released post August 2015.

I'm running Windows 10 home 64bit (retail edition) and have an Asus Strix gtx970. My mobo is an X99 sli a krait edition and 5820 cpu. 750w super flower psu and 16gb ddr 4 2400 ram. AIO 240mm cooling and phanteks enthoo luxe case.

Since installing everything I have been experiencing hard lock ups intermittently and now they only occur when gaming. I have all the latest manufacturers drivers for all components and the mobo bios etc is up to date. I've seen a few posts elsewhere where others have had similar problems.

I have tried running the card at out of the box spec as well as fully overclocked via afterburner. Same issue. It makes me believe that it is a graphics card driver issue. I was using the same card in my previous windows 7 machine and it ran fine with an aggressive overclock.

I'm running out of ideas to try to troubleshoot the problem and am hoping that someone can offer some suggestions?

If it is a driver issue try out forceware 353.62 for windows 10.. its my go to driver for win 10 it always works for me.. ive been having so many issues with most other win 10 driver releases except that one.. worth a try.. just remember to "uninstall previous driver -> DDU to clean up any remains -> restart pc" before installing anything else.

So I upgraded to these drivers and now I get a weird bug where after extended play on MGSV performance seems to get worse. Framerate gets choppier and GPU usage gets very erratic constantly bouncing between 50 and 60%. I thought it could be a memory leak but its showing 5.5gb of total system ram usage

You've had a lot of driver issues, Maybe uninstall and and install in safe mode? The last couple drivers have been good for me. Unlike the few before that were awful. 3 in a row no less. The last few have been very good so far.

This should be stickied:

Before you post regarding driver issues, make sure you have reverted your PC back to stock settings. That means remove any manual over clocks and revert back to factory settings. (On all hardware)

This makes it a million and one times easier to trouble shoot.
