Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.
It was working just fine a few weeks back, I've tried going back a a few months in drivers but nothing seems to solve it.
It can't be the monitor or GPU as other stuff would stop working.
Might do a clean OS install and see if that helps.
Have you tried another cable to connect up the monitor to the graphics card ? Also what connection are you using DP,HDMI,DVI ?
Another thing you can try is power down the monitor and pc completely (unplug from power at the mains) and then this will force it to retry the HDCP handshake.
If that fails you can try deleting the monitor from the device manager and all the hidden versions of the monitor (greyed out versions in the monitor device manager).
You get to the hidden ones by doing the following below.
1. cmd (open a command prompt)
2. type in the command prompt set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
3. type in the command prompt devmgmt.msc (this will open the device manager)
4. in the device manager under View menu click show hidden devices
5. work down to monitors and delete all the monitors showing including all the greyed out ones (do not choose to remove the driver just delete the entry) then restart the pc (this will reinstall the monitor automatically again) and check in Nvidia control panel if the Nvidia HDCP is active again.
If that fails and you also have a CPU with a Intel graphics card built in make sure to reinstall the drivers for that too (or use DDU to also remove Intel graphics drivers too when you do the Nvidia ones) , or as above delete the Intel graphics driver from the device manager (do not choose to remove the driver just delete the entry) and restart again and it will picks it up correctly again and has enabled the HDCP on that too.
But do make sure your cable you are using to connect to the monitor is okay too, that is probably the main fault, if you have tried all the above and failed to make it work, try setting the monitor back to factory settings and see if that helps.
If all that fails and you are 100% sure it's not the cable and done as I said above it maybe worth trying another install of Windows 10, it could be then just a corrupted registry entry causing it, or try to turn back windows to a previous state in windows system restore.
Also make sure your audio drivers are upto date and make sure to install the nvidia audio drivers too, that can trip up HDCP too.
