**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I even matched the clocks OC3D used exactly.

This is extremely shady **** by Nvidia, They need to be taken to court for this as it's disgraceful and wrong on so many levels.

Wait are you really comparing a test you are doing now on your rig, with a test done months ago on another rig (however similar). This doesn't take into account any game updates, windows updates etc.

That is not a scientific or reliable method for testing and I would have expected better of people here.

Well then I made a fuss over incorrect results from OC3D, My bad.

Only just seen this, should have refreshed my browser.

My point still stands, you testing method was frankly pathetic and shameful.

There are two choices, proper scientific testing or not. Any conclusions drawn from the second type are laughable.

Good to see so many put their tinfoil hats on tho.

Nvidia have definitely done something to the drivers on the Maxwell side.

The results speak for themselves.

A decline of 75FPS in Alien Isolation and a decline of 52FPS in Tomb Raider is more than a simple driver shenanigan.

If you make bold claims with evidence on the level of David Icke and Holocaust deniers then don't be surprised if people call you out for it.

edit

Wow I get insulted and a mod removes my comment, Something badly wrong here.

Yes it's probably the aliens over at Nvidia trying to mute the people such as yourself who have found the "truth".

This part of the forum has (and continues to be in cases) very helpful. Newer people come here to get info and the opinions of people who (should) know better. That is why I originally came here, to learn.

If we cannot get the most basic standard of testing with good methodology, then this part of the forum is nothing but fluff to be discounted as a source of good info.

You don't need to attack someone to get that point across though, You can actually have manners and act like a grown up instead of calling someone pathetic, Shameful and laughable which is just asking for a bad atmosphere.

Let's be clear, an attack on testing methods is NOT an personal attack. We all should strive to provide any information in a unbiased, fair method so that we can make sound judgements for our purchases and the purchases of others.

The moment you mention someone and say what they did was pathetic, Laughable and shameful it becomes a personal attack.

Anyway enough, Let's leave it at that and get back on topic.

It's your method not you I was complaining about. My statements are very valid and your methods were not. If your methods do not stand up to the most basic of critique they should be questioned and discounted.

edit..words n spelling

You could have put it in a less blunt fashion :P (not that you are exactly known for beating about the bush).

Agree with the sentiment though - its one of the reasons I've given 1-2 people a hard time who knowingly post wrongful information in a misleading fashion (likely due to having marketing reasons for one vendor or another) and that often newer people do come here to make purchasing decisions and could be mislead by it.

Since installing my 1060 with 372.54 drivers a few days ago, I've now noticed slight stutter in a couple of games.

Rocket League in particular does not feel smooth much of the time, even at 60 fps but it also drops to 57-58 sometimes. GTAV is very smooth most of the time but I get slight drops to 58 fps in that too. Similar 58fps drops in Forza Apex too.

Other games like Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa, FIFA, Battlefront and Alien Isolation run fine. I've verified game caches and DDU clean installed the drivers again with no success. Even forcing vsync via control panel for Rocket League made no difference. Any ideas?

I have just dropped this driver as all was well yesterday but today, crashes and lock ups.

Oh for sure, hence I try not too post too much in the mornings when I am about as subtle as a slap to the face. That said, I feel you have to deal with the crazies with a head on manner so there are no doubts about meaning.

If I hadn't joined this forum, I would have been so much more in the dark about hardware and made some terrible choices. As long as we have a few people still making solid arguments driven by good data, hopefully this will continue to be a place where good discussion, learning and of course a bit of fun can be had.

Are you using G-Sync?

No g-sync monitor sadly, using a bog standard samsung tv/monitor since my Dell died. I thought it may actually have something to do with the screens refresh rate and vsync. nvidia control panel says 60 hertz but windows display adapter properties says 59 hertz. Honestly, I never had this issueand confusion with amd drivers - yet they have the bad rep lol.
