**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Any reason why I shouldn't bother with using geforce experience?

Does it cause any problems with slowing down windows or the like?

I had it for a while and I found ShadowPlay really good for recording my CSGO footage :)

But I've stopped doing that now so on my last driver update I just removed it.

Since I have no real use for these types of applications and subconsciously think they're hogging resources in the background - even if they're not - I don't install them.

Same here. I select custom install and the only things I install are the actual driver along with the physx driver.

For some reason I have got a hell of a lot of stuttering with 372.54 so am going back to 368.69. It has been fine since I installed it last week then today I get bad stuttering!!

Is there an official source of older drivers to download? A few posts back I mentioned getting minor stutter in some games with the latest (and my first) nvidia drivers.

Another problem I am having is since installing my 1070, my audio keeps switching over to my monitor and I get a warning about my sound card having audio enhancements problems.

Any ideas?

You guys getting stutter in games or desktop too?

Just games.

Windows 10 Anniversary update with a creative card by any chance? I get it with my Soundblaster Z and it's Windows 10 that keeps changing the audio source. It's only been happening since the anniversary update. I disabled every option in the sound settings apart from the Soundblaster Z and it hasn't changed the source since I did that. I still get that message about the enhancements but only when I go into the windows sound settings and then it asks if I want to re-enable the enhancements. The latest Creative driver didn't fix this so it's a windows problem.

That audio source switching happens with realtek built in audio as well since the AU update with my 980 Ti's. Happens during reboots or switching the monitor off and on.

Never had this issue before. MS certainly screwed something up.

Thanks for telling me. And yes pastymuncher I have a sb z and the update. At least it's not the drivers then. :)

Latest MS windows 10 killed everybody's webcams with a fix not out till September so god knows what else they have broken.

Also broke a good few other drivers - some people have non-functioning mice after the update due to some issue with USB drivers. And still people will defend the lack of proper control over update in 10 :|

I have seen some bank dongles wont work now either with the new update. AT least with pro version you can switch off forced updates.
