Yeah, thank you for your help. But what about the 388.31?388.13 just seem less stable, gaming is more choppy.
Has anyone else had a problem with the Nvidia control panel not saving settings?
Every time I turn on my PC either, Use Nvidia settings in desktop colour settings has gone back to application controlled or it's switched the Output dynamic range from Full to Limited.
Id use DDU and do what Wrinkly says above (great tip btw) but I don't want to lose all my settings.
If I saved the current profile in Nvidia inspector would that save all the individual game settings I've tweaked as well, so I could just import it after a fresh install?

Sorry, i meant the last drivers, nVidia driver numbering is a pain to keep up with.

Ok, I agree. A pain it is.
So what's your favorite driver then?
Then how was I getting it on a 60Hz display?
Only 1920x1200. There weren’t many flaky drivers with the 2D bug but they exist.
Windows 10 keeps installing 388.13 - which ruins my gaming performance totally.
I've tried a few things to try and stop it installing the driver automatically - but none of it worked.
Anyone know a way that 100% works?

Use DDU once and it will turn off windows's annoying tendencies of installing drivers for without asking.I guess I'll have to try 388.31 - Windows won't let me go earlier, and 388.13 is a nightmare.
On many drivers but its random.
Nope. Saying that I don’t adjust desktop settings but do it through DisplayCal.
I’m currently on 381.65. Think my favourite was 382.33 but I cannot really tell the difference. Later drivers with some started having bugs with 2D clocks.
Use an OS that wasn't designed by absolute muppetsor use a 3rd party tool like DDU or you can mess about with GPEdit if you have the professional version of the OS or higher.
You can install gpedit if you don't have it.
I had to do it on my Home version other day to disable some gubbins.
