**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Yeah that broke my AMD drivers when I had an AMD (or it might even have been ATI) because it removed the Windows AMD inf file that recognised AMD cards and it wouldnt install the AMD drivers. Had to do a system restore to fix it.

Can someone help me pick a driver I'm new to nvidia and trying to find the right one for my 1080.

The 388.13 is broken on my pc GTA only gets 45 fps in full screen.

I just switched to 387.92 and overwatch crashed me out of a comp game.

What can I use to play overwatch without crashing?

Any info out there regarding a UI update for Nvidia drivers? Launching is slow and it looks like from Windows XP days. Not a huge deal, but would be welcome.

Unless they change the page id:

Code:
@echo off

reg add "HKCU\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVControlPanel2\Client" /v LastPage /t REG_BINARY /d ec8881f1672555488bae2766f5ec54fc /f

start "" "%programfiles%\NVIDIA Corporation\Control Panel Client\nvcplui.exe"

As a batch file will open to the home page - have to run it as a shortcut to the control panel though.

I'm a bit puzzled by something.

Could the Nvidia audio driver conflict with, for example, in my case the Realtek driver that came as part of the motherboard software?

Is it better to go with the Nvidia driver? My system's sound seems I don't know, subdued.

i had a problem a while ago and it was the nvidia hd audio driver that was causing it. cant remember what the problem was but there was quite a thread aobut it on the nvidia pages. it made me do custom install of the nvidia driver everytime it had an update, would just untick everything bar the graphics driver.

Yeah, it rings a bell with me, too. I think I'll try the same as something isn't quite right. Cheers.

Running the latest drivers here. Power management is set to adaptive, yet once back to the desktop the GPU clocks remain too high (1025/3505).

Anyone else notices this with 388.13?

Newer drivers are very buggy I have the dreaded black screen bug which makes the entire display go black & you have to hard reset to get it back. Thought it was the monitor going but turns out its the newer drivers lot of people on Nvidia forums have the same issue on GTX10XX series cards especially! Looks like Nvidia broke something fundamental & have not worked out how to fix yet.
