**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

With these drivers I'm getting a few seconds of green flickering (like when the driver crashes) when watching youtube or video embedded in web pages or proper mpg video files

It's all about AI now. Probably AI is making your drivers now, maybe that's why they have become so ****

Think all the 57x drivers have been pretty garbage for functionality. Currently whenever I try and preview a embedded youtube video ( Youtube home page or otherwise) the screen essentially flickers as it appears the video has to switch to CPU decoding. Also the VSR function is pretty flaky. This is on a 3070 that works perfectly fin of the 56x series of drivers

Is anyone else having big issues with the new Control Ultimate Edition patch on a 5090? It has awful stuttering. It seemed like MSI afterburner was one of the causes but closing it only made it slightly better. Still unplayable for me currently.

Latest nvidia game ready driver, no isses with other games so far.

Seriously, these latest Nvidia drivers are ****

The only issue I've had so far is with Starfield. I thought the VRAM was toast, but it appears a bunch of people on 5000 series GPUs have corrupted textures/patterns on screen. I guess it's a driver thing.

Seems it mainly affects the 5000 series because I can't fault even the latest driver on my 4090, they've been rock solid.

So far I've had no issues whatsoever with the current 572.83 or previous 572.70 drivers, after a few years off playing GTA 5 I've been farming the hell out of the Enhanced version this month for money and doing things I've missed out on. I've spent 160hrs in the Enhanced version in just under 4 weeks, and in all that time the game has been running flawlessly once I forced the game to use my X3D cores only on my 7950X3D with process lasso (caused low GPU utilisation and frame time stuttering otherwise). Running the game on a 4090 at 4K with DLSS on quality, every setting maxed out, including the RT ones.

In 160hrs using those two drivers combined so far, probably 40 to 50hrs of that on the current 572.83 ones, I've not had a crash or any stability issues at all those hours, all running off a 4TB SN850X NVMe using Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (current build 26100.3476).

I've also had Plex playing videos on another screen, YT as well, along with lots of alt tabbing. My main screen is An Asus PG43UQ 144hz though I have it capped to 120hz, second screen is a cheap 4K 60hz Samsung U32J59x. Both running through DisplayPort. My system runs 24/7 and only gets a reboot maybe once a week on average, been running exactly 3 days so far with still no issues.

If you are using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX series GPU, please check the following:

 - RTX 50 Series → Driver version 572.83 (latest)

 - RTX 40 Series → Driver version 566.36 (released December 2024)

※ Using driver versions 572.xx or later may result in occasional frame drops or stuttering

 - RTX 30 Series or earlier → Latest driver recommended

※ If issues persist, we recommend installing version 566.36

You can download drivers from the official NVIDIA Driver Download page.

We will continue doing our best to ensure you can enjoy the experience in a more stable environment.

Thank you, as always, for your continued interest and valuable feedback.
