**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I've decided to start using my W11 build again, just updated it and about to install the 576.28 drivers.

Still got W10 and 566.36 to fall back on, which shows just how bad NVidia drivers have been since the 5000 series disaster launch..

I had a black screen on installing 576.28 that, for the first time, was not fixed by turning the monitor on and off. This is getting beyond a joke now.

Still not fixed that!

Was about to ask how are the latest drivers, might take the risk, but have had that issue happen twice on previous drivers and I had to power off/on pc.

No issues with my 4090 and black screens when installing 576.28 with my 2x 4K screens connected over DP (60hz without any VRR on & 120Hz gsync compatible on), didn't have any black screens with the last two hotfix drivers, 576.02, 572.83 or 572.70 (all installed over the top of each other), but I think it was 572.60 that black screened on me last. A simple reset with the reset button though, after I left it for 2 mins just to make sure the driver was installed. Once it windows, it was installed just fine.

That black screen issue is annoying as it's so random, seems every time you install a driver there's a 50/50 chance of it happening, but it always installs fine 100% of the time, just never recovers the display, at least for me until I force a reset.

I'm finding the latest ones to be actually very good, that's on W11 though. No issues installing and they seem fast and stable. Still have a W10 build with the 566.36 drivers in case of any issues.
