**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Second game I tried was TLOU2 simply as it's one I'm playing currently (trying to put aside the awful subversive messaging in it, as its a great actual video game). This also 'works' and it has no black frame insertion weirdness at all. But the performance increase is very odd in this game. Rather than maxing out my fps to 120, it increased fps only a bit, but reduced my GPU usage to ~65% instead of 99%. It also had quite nasty artefacting.
I assume you have a 3000 series or lower? As TLOU 2 has frame gen, so why would you use smooth motion?

What "subversive messaging" does the game have

Would be curious to see if there is an correlation, most of the people I know with 5000 series GPUs and having issues have AMD CPUs but that is kind of a given as they've mostly CPUs like the 7800X3D, etc.

With my 4080 Super and 14700K I've had practically no problems at all aside from one instance of stalling on a black screen when installing one driver version.
Perhaps it's because I can't find my tinfoil hat, but I've had almost no issues with the setup in my sig (FG related crashing in Spider-Man 2 aside).

NvPresentUpdate v2.0.0.32 | NvPresent64.dll Update Tool

NVIDIA's current main driver release does not support NVIDIA Smooth Motion technology. The first driver to support GeForce RTX 40 Series is GeForce R590.26 Preview Driver. Now, you can use this Installer to install the NvPresent64.dll file to main driver to support NVIDIA Smooth Motion

Smooth motion is part of the R590.26 Preview Driver not for general use so whats with the people getting mad that its not 100% stable

Is anyone else having issues extracting the DLL update tool file?

I’ve tried 7 zip and keeps throwing Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error. Is Winrar the only reliable way to achieve this?

Cheers,

Wulf
