**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Where's the 595.99 drivers so we can try this new frame gen??? Nvidia app has updated but no sign or talk of the new driver anywhere I can see....

Even 2x feels awful for me as my max base is only 58fps on my display.

Artifacting is visible in most games too.

I’m really not a fan of where Nvidias focus is.
The only game I use FG in is AC Shadows. 2x in that title doesn’t feel too bad - although probably helps that my base fps is 85ish and I’m using a controller.

Every other game I’ve used FG in just feels all sorts of delayed.

6x frame generation is going to feel all sorts of horrific. Can't wait for @Neil79 to install these drivers though to let us know how they are.

In my testing DLSS 4.5 is amazing in some games when set to quality M. However in trying the same in BF6 it degraded the frame rates.
I can't use the very latest FG tech though as that's a 5000 series thing :)

Well I'm annoyed :(

I loaded up Battlefield 6 and it did shaders like a new nvidia driver was installed, yet the one I installed over a week ago was the 581.89! Checking MSI Afterburner and it showed 591.86 which is a completely different driver, a driver installed by Windows Update.

So I checked Windows Update and sure enough Successfully installed on ‎31/‎03/‎2026.

Because of that Windows Update issue whereby some systems were affected by BSOD's and performance issues ( it was recalled ) I had turned everything is OFF, including services (disabled) to stop these updates coming over.

I have NEVER allowed Windows to install it's own crappy drivers

So yeh, it's forced installed and turned services back on. I thought this **** wasn't going to happen anymore

Told you I was waiting for Neil to test the drivers... thanks Windows!

Got to be some pebkac going on with Neil surely?

He has had more nvidia driver issues than the rest of the forum combined by now :p

I never said I had issues with this driver, this is Windows being a *** :)

I'm back on the Vulkans so

I had the same happen to me, my screen literally just flashed while using the pc and heard the device connected sound a couple of times. I thought for a second the driver had crashed but then I noticed the settings were reverted back to default. And the funny thing, I was already running 591.86, so it basically installed on itself.
This is the first time that w11 reinstalled a driver for me over the one I already had running.

Hello! I haven’t updated my drivers for a long time because 581.80 worked perfectly for me and I generally don’t play the latest games. Today, Windows Update pushed 591.86 on me and I’m not sure what to do about it. From some googling it looks like that’s the most stable recent driver? So, do I keep it, re-install it but use the same version, or re-install it with a later version?
