I thought the showers at the camping site were available for a small price :confused:
 
Saying that there are no showers, actually there is a hose!

Gilly: if you ask you maybe able to blag a shower at the campsite but as no one is staying there you might have to offer them some cash, I haven't enquired.

Hmm.. 1pm ish? Sounds good to me. Gives me a slightly later start than I was planning (I always leave myself a lot longer to get places I don't know, generally because I'm a godawful navigator!)

I'll be doing the speed limit most of the way as my brakes havent bedded in yet so my braking distance is massive... :eek:

Still...I now have brakes so much improved over monday..

My other half now has enough maps to kill an elephant.. *Autoroute.. ;) Directions only, turn by turn and strip maps....about 100 pages in total...*

Am planning to do a little stop off at the outlet place en route...Cadbury's factory shop will not be missed. :D Shouldn't bee too much of a detour though..Just off Junction 36 of the M4..

Looks to be a good place for a fuel/pee stop anyway.

Thats fine.. I doubt my little Corsa 1.4i will want to do much above 70mph by the time its got me and Beserker in it and our assorted gear.

Excellent.. Beserker has a GPS unit thingie so between us we're sorted for directions :D Worst case scenario, when we get down into rural wales I'll lead the colony with Beserker directing!

Aye, I'll probably need to top the tank up at that stage anyway. Automatic cars just aren't that great on the fuel consumption (though a tad bit better than that F1 ML you were talking about earlier!)

You'll have GPS once you leave my place. It's all programmed and ready to go. I'll put the batteries on charge overnight just in case, although I've got the car adapter handy.

Let me know the new pick-up time - or let me know if you want any other route details.

Oh, the bag stack is growing again. Only snacks and the like though so it won't take any room. :eek:

Which reminds me - I'd better go pack sometime soon. :eek:

Oh...and if there's a campfire or BBQ lit expect my other half to be sat at it trying to keep her hands and feet warm with a handfull of marshmallows trying to make s'mores...

We have a couple of bags of marshmallows so depending on how drunk everyone is - could be entertaining...

With tents around - please try not to set them on fire then wave them around to put them out - causing flaming lumps of liquid marshmallow to zip through the air at random... ;)

That reminds me......my insect repellant is highly flamable, no setting me on fire by accident either :p
 
due to certcumstances (my car giving up the ghost) i'm very doubtfull I'll be able to attend, I will try other avenues, but it doesn't look good. Hope you all have a good time and the weather is good.

1x Bottle Vodka
1x Coke and 1x Lemonade to mix

Have also bought some snacks ( crisps ) and some UHT milk for my morning cup of tea :D

Just twigged.. I'm not meeting you at South Mimms.. thats a tad bit north on the M25 for me, given I'm coming from Gatwick area.

Probably the best bet is the Membury services as thats probably the easiest point for me after picking up Beserker?
What sort of time would you expect to be there by?
