I was going to make a couple (pinatas), and have started one in preparation for my lad's birthday next weekend as a practice run.

If people would rather we bought them, then let me know.

No mate you crack on :)

I thin a maximum of 5 would be fine, I just don't want to fill Wales with tissue paper and scattered cardboard animal limbs :D

Cor, thats almost the population of St Petrox isn't it :p

Right I've been looking into the events for the Saturday.

The general concensus is that it would be good to go to the Oakwood Theme Park which is Wales answer to Alton Towers (read: smaller, wetter and not as good :p).

I though maybe we could be there for 12 and then book the bowling alley next door for maybe 4 or 5pm.

Prices are as follows:

Standard Ticket (10 plus) £13.75

but

Pre-booked coach parties and groups over 20 people*** £11.75

(***All groups must be paid for in one transaction.)

I'm not sure if I want to go through the hassle of getting people to send me the money to get in so I can book it all in a single transaction, what do we think, are you bothered to do this to save £2 each?

Bowling can be pre booked and we can have a lane for 1 hour for 6 people for £20 which seems like a good deal :). Do we want 1 or 2 hours? I don't really remember how long it takes 6 people to bowl 2/3 games.

We can then go on to do the Crystal Maze thing and then back to the house for drinks and BBQ.

TBH mate I wouldn't bother with the group booking to save £2 each. It'll only end in a mess with people owing money :o

Thats what I thought.

Desmo, can you ask Piggy how long we need to go around Oakwood at that time of the year? I'm sure she said she had been there, from what she said 4/5 hours sounded ample and starting at 12 would be fine to give us time to wake up have breakfast and get there.

I think an hours bowling will be enough personally. Add on the inevitable pool/arcade machine's before and after, then 2 hours bowling turns into a 2.5/3 hour stay.

Anyone else? I think your right bearing in mind we'll have walked around Oakwood for a few hours before hand and played on the machines there.

An hours bowling with 6 to a lane will be ~£2.86 each for 35 people, cheap eh? Those Welshies will kill for hard English currency you know, might have to try a bit of bartering when we're there too, if i can work out the lingo.

You do all know that you can't drink the water there don't you? Your better off sticking to beer and don't kiss any of the locals either they have a strange effect on OcUKers and we've already lost one member under those circumstances.

We went there earleir in the year. It's not an overly massive place and 4 hours should be enough time to work our way around. Getting ther for 12 should be fine. Don't expect anything on the level of AT, the queues aren't that long even when it's busy. There's still plenty to have a look at, ride on and eat (Daz) so will make for a good afternoon out.
