How does the Gigabyte GA P35 DS4 compare to the Abit, is that capable of reaching 600fsb too? Im on the hunt for a decent P35 mobo. . .
Scoobie Dave said:Do ya know if the Gigabyte GA P35 DS4 is any good to?
My guess is it should be a equally as good as the Abit?

lay-z-boy said:Correction it's you're, get it right.
And no, I'm not I can't be bothered with most of the arguments, not that that it's relevant to anything I said anyway.
On holiday for two weeks in Spain.
dC2006 said:Yes, but my stepping requires more vcore than yours, you have a good chip. For a more of a performance boost try 7x500, put your mem divder on 2.00 so your ram runs 1:1 with fsb, also with the ballistix 8500 ram you could tighten timings at a lower vdim (4-4-4-12 v2.1).
A few other pointers:
Play with mem trd levels, default is 13 I think, had mine at 8. Improves ram speed, makes it very nippy.
The F3 bios or F5g has more mem bw and lower super pi times than F4.
I found running 7x515 (3.6ghz) to be faster than 8x450 (3.6Ghz), mem bw increased by 900mb, lower super pi times, gaming much smoother.
For me anyway running at 3.6Ghz at 7x515 required less vcore than at 8x450, not really sure why.
If you discover anything new please share
