Why would they skip the A17 prefix….i don’t believe they push future tech forward…

I cheaped out last time and didnt go the pro route. Perhaps a Christmas present from the Wife this year!

Have they mentioned AI yet?
A17 Pro is currently in the iPhone 15 Pro. Usually the non-Pro lags a gen behind, but not anymore it seems.
It’s better than Zen 5.
THat would surely be a Pro feature first, we haven't got to the Pro range yet

It's been a pro feature since iphone 13pro. Just comparing the non pro to other competitors, they still keep their non pros @ 60hz. Guess no biggie to those who don't give af about it.
Apple's way to sell more Pro's for those who want the faster display.

The one gen chip behind has only been the last few years isn’t it? I don’t remember them doing that in like the XR, even the last SE had the latest chip.
