I see. Thank you.I think needs to drop below 80% to be classed as "consumed" which would then qualify for a battery replacement (aka. whole unit replacement but for battery price)

Well if it's under warranty / applecare it would just be a free replacement. If it's out of warranty it's a replacement but for the cost of a battery (since they don't do battery repairs for watches).Presuming you have some level of Apple care presumably?
I haven't got one, but everything I've read up to now indicates that if I did have one, it wouldn't stay black very long.Anyone on here got a new Ultra 2 black version? Just wondering how scratch resistant the coating is on the case compared to the normal one?
Elaborate please? It's been taking all my willpower to not buy one.I haven't got one, but everything I've read up to now indicates that if I did have one, it wouldn't stay black very long.
Thanks for that. i'm honestly still ltempted as I use a leather strap with a cover on my watches.Again, I don't own one, so feel free to take my advice with a grain of salt, but there were quite a few mentions on macrumors about how some people had scratched the coating on their watch after a couple of weeks, and this guy's videos should carry a trigger warning for scratchy noises, but he's very thorough!
I've put a photo of my old apple watch series 4 on here before, and let me assure you, that coating wouldn't last a month on my wrist. I've got the ultra 2 vanilla, and I've already got a few nicks around the edges after 8 months of ownership!
If you're worried about screen exposure, my series 4's face was covered in scratches, but my Ultra 2 remains unscathed on the actual screen, so if mine is unscratched after about 6 months, you stand a chance too!I'm looking at buying myself a new watch, I'm currently on my Series 4 which is a bit knackered now but I can't decide if I want to get a 46mm Series 10 or an Ultra 2.
I kinda want the thinness of the 10 but I like that the screen is not as exposed on the Ultra
It's personal preference, I think you should try one one. I prefer bigger watch faces, and the ultra is much more to my tastes, but I know of a lot of people who feel the opposite because they feel it's too big for smaller wrists, doesn't go under cuff links, etc. I love mine. Can I ask about the ultra model do you think it too big compared to a series 10 ?
Just buy one and enjoy it. I eventually did after swaying back and forth on it.Elaborate please? It's been taking all my willpower to not buy one.
I haven’t personally used this but a friend has tried it with their dad who was living alone and frail - he kept forgetting to charge it so it essentially was useless for him, and a traditional sos necklace did the job better for cheaper.I want to get my Grandma a cellular model that does Afib recognition and falls and sos is the SE 2nd gen worth picking up used. She doesnt use a iphone though so would be the family setup? Anyone use that and found it decent.

I wear my Tudor watch on weekends because it gives me a degree of separation from my phone, and I'm not at the gym on the weekends, so don't bother with fitness tracking etc. It's a nice break. So I worn my automatic instead of my Apple Watch on Saturday for work Christmas dinner....I haven't taken it off since... and I must admit I don't miss it much if at all and realise how much I miss the weight and look at a real automatic watch.
