Only managed to see Jupiter, quite incredible how bright it was. Shame I didn't have binoculars or a telescope then it might have been possible to see Saturn and Mars. As above would be great if anyone has some good footage.

You can usually see Mars and Saturn without a telescope. Mars has a distinctive red colour. Saturn looks like the brightest star in the sky.

Only got to see Jupiter and the Moon in the end. Others not visible or behind other houses.

In both cases I have seen them clearer in the summer.

Froze my fingers off tonight, not felt pain like that in years. The part that hurts is when warming them back up again

It's nice being in the sticks the air is clear and whilst we still have light pollution with a city only 4 miles away it is so much clearer than anywhere else I've lived. I saw the Plieades with my naked eyes for the first time last night had to go in the house and look up what they were and Orion was substantially clearer than I can ever remember seeing it before.

Only times I've had consistently better views of the night sky was when I lived (briefly) in the Snowy Mountains that was ridiculous.

Earlier this year we went on a stargazing walk at High Force Northumberland. Bortle 3 skies. Just incredible looking up and seeing the Milky Way stretching across the sky!

Off to Northumberland in a couple of months for a walking holiday with the dogs, staying near Bamburgh. Not really delved into it yet but need to find the best places to stargaze.
