Works a treat, I have the NB voltage set to max (1.7x) and it doesn't get hot at all. I did however have to attach a piece of string to the case, as the mount supplied does make it feel very loose. This is partly due to a small size chip in the middle and the fact that it is at a 45° angle.

Hi, is the supplied mount just push-pins then? It's enormous as well. I've seen CPU coolers that weren't that big ;)

Yep, just push pin.

They do supply other sizes and a clip on mount for different motherboards, but obviously with this MB it would be push pin (which is spring loaded).

Will have to try 1T again tomorrow, but need to hit the sack!

You could also try running that thing passively if you have sufficient airflow.

Still having issues with the board and 6600 clocking with PCI-e cards installed (though tbh could be the same without PCI-e cards, but you tend to reboot more 3d testing...)
The board just randomly refuses to boot. Have to wait a few mins for it to load the failsafe bios settings. Re-set, reboot and its fine! However shutting down/restarting from windows is a no go.

Really not sure what's going on! Any thoughts, or anything I could have missed? Have a feeling it's down to the lack of vcore stability on the board as it seem's a bit happier at lower speeds, and the 6300 doesn't have these issues as it's MUCH happier at lower vCore.
6600 needs ~ 1.55 or so to be stable above 3.6ghz, which i guess is a big ask for this board, especially considering the droop etc.

All is fine in the P5B though, CPU's clocking perfect as normal (4.2ghz under mach1) and the 8800GTX is fine too, so pretty sure its a setting/bios/board related quirk :(

I can't read it! - Was it good? It looks like 29C at 500FSB but who knows?
Hmm, the image should go full size when you click on it in imageshack.

But aye, 7x500 3.5Ghz, didn't really have much chance to test as the central heating came on just after.

At least I know that it's the cooling holding me back now, time to invest in some new cooling for the NB I think, not sure what will fit though.

I have set mine to 1.57V to run 400x9 stable. Other people seems to be running it at 1.4V to 1.5V to get the same!

I've got the Thermalright HR-05 on the northbridge, and cranked the voltage up to max and it doesn't get hot at all. If you go back a page you'll see a picture of what mine looks like.

ok so I'm up and running now

e6400
ocz platinum rev 2 6400
p5n-e
mach2 on the cpu
60mm akasa fan on the nb

1.563v on nb and have just completed a quick superpi at 500 (2002) fsb with 2T unlinked at 400. cpu at x7 for now

going to try 1T now then push the cpu a bit

no go 1T for me at 500 even with 1.7v nb and ram at 2.24v

Same here.

I can boot into Windows at 1T, 2.085V Ram (have tried higher voltages) 400FSB 1:1, but it takes longer to boot into Windows and restarts when I load Photoshop.

I could however run SuperPi no problems.

I'll stick with 2T at the moment.

Hmm, Background girl with University of Kentucky football shirt? I always got UK mixed up with KU (Kansas University, I studied there for a year;))

So first one to shout Go Jayhawks! gets a prize? Is it just me or is the ad at the top of that Imageshack page not safe for work?
