I've been affected by this very thing. Past 2 days I've experienced crashing which has forced me to close the Bf2042.exe
Yeah, that's my experience with the crashes. Always on the first map load but then fine after that.
Hopefully it's fixed soon.
In terms of the mid-season updates, the new Orbital map is really great. The extra tunnels and the cover around some of the points on Conquest are fantastic and it feels great to actually be fighting over a flag again vs. just a capture point in the middle of an open space.
Good to see the ACW-R added as well.
It looks like they're going to move the specialists into the traditional class system as well, possibly with the start of season 3?
NOTICE: DICE is aware that many #PC players are currently experiencing crashes/freezes while playing or trying to load into a map, especially after the #Battlefield2042 Update 2.2.0.

I thought my pc was on the fritz, tends to happen in game though, not normally when loading (and was fine previously).

I do also seem to be suffering from really bad hit reg for some reason. Might try smaller maps.
It went down hill when they took the 64 player maps out of MAIN rotation, it worked fine as is! 128 blows
For a lot of people, that's usually prior to the crash

I've sunk quite a few hours into this and there's been no blatantly obviously cheaters that I can remember. I'm sure some are but there's been nothing blindingly obvious. Plenty of people in game sure do love to throw the old hack-usations around through 
The new/updated maps are much better now and I'm having fun with it. Orbital at the new cap point on the hill is great fun when both teams are throwing everything against each other. Definitely worth a go now if you were on the fence.

Was fine yesterday but this evening I can't play at all :/Crash fest the last two days
This isn't my first rodeo. I've been playing online since before the HL DM days. I know very well there's cheaters in every single game. I said I've not seen any blatantly obvious ones eg, with a stupidly high kill count and the end of the match in the hours that I've put in. The reason I ask is because I gave up on it but recently relented and downloaded all updates etc and I'm waiting forever in the lobby waiting for players to start a game.
