*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Yep, I hope they do away with this in the next game.

Persistent lobbies and map voting for the next map would be great to have back.

It should have a proper server browser like all Battlefield titles had previously. One thing i have read is apparently they did it so you spend more time looking at your player character. It makes people more inclined to buy skins. So they took away core Battlefield features to drive micro transactions.

I joined the HC server yesterday and it was pretty awesome to have the friendly fire turned on. Of course I accidentally killed 2 of my team mates. But it's a good way to play to have that on. Wasn't too keen on the mini map turned off and enemy spotting off. Makes some of the 2042 tech a little pointless.

Right!.. That's pretty smart from a business perspective, but tbh I was like wtf when first starting out playing 2042, as you say the server browser was the main page for previous bf games, and now it's buried under the portal tab. Rather antisocial of them..

You can’t beat a bit of hardcore, makes the DMR’s pretty lethal. I avoid the 128 player ones tho to be honest.

my major gripe with this game is that it constantly joins me to games that have mere seconds left until they end

which wouldn't matter if it then moved to the next map in rotation but instead it dumps you back to the menu and starts the whole process again

I don't know what I do wrong in this game. When I play bf1, 4, 5, I'm almost always in top 5. In 2042 I'm always in bottom 5 often lucky if I get a kill

Main Ones :

RM68

RM68 Bullet Speed lowered from 790 to 700

We have lowered the 4HK range on the following Ammo types:

Standard Ammo reduced from 40m > 30m

High Power ammo reduced from 50m > 40m

4HK range has been removed from CQB Ammo

M416

M416 damage increased from 18 to 22 at 50m.

M416 damage increased from 15 to 18 at 75m and beyond.

MTAR21

4HK range capabilities have been removed from the MTAR21.

Dispersion & Accuracy

Following your feedback, we are making further adjustments to the dispersion of several Assault Rifles with an intent to compress the top and lowest performers for a more balanced weapon offering.

Max dispersion increased by 9% for AK24, SFARM-GL and AEK

Max dispersion lowered by 8% for AC42, M16A3, M416 and MTAR21

Lowered the delay to dispersion reset from 0.2s to 0.1s.

Good news about the M416.
I'm basically running through all the weapons to get all the attachments unlocked and the M416 has been horribly inconsistent so far.

Yeah, great news about the M416, will likely pick it back up now!

Shame about the SFAR, although it does seem quite a fair adjustment. I just wish the weapon spread/dispersion was being applied to all guns rather than just ARs.

I wish we still had a 24/7 playlist for the new map, I think we only had it for the first 2 weeks (one for Conquest, one for Breakthrough) and I really wanted to play it a bit more regularly.

This season has been fun so far, weekly missions for the battle pass have been nice and varied although I've got no idea how long it's going to take me to do the 1500 damage with AT grenades...

It definitely feels like the portal weapons being added has been great for all players, I'm seeing so much more variety in the weapons used and it's really nice to swap between the M416 to the ACWR to the new G36.

Also the BFP.50 is the most enjoyable sidearm to use in the game, might almost be the most fun gun to use in the game.

Still use BSV :D
Only down side need to run ammo.
Stupid that DICE never gave us perpetual servers, the ability to kick from squad/take over squad, oh and some consistency in the netcode/hitreg.

Persistent servers are a thing in Breakthrough now, if you stay in the game after a round it'll flip sides and keep the same players in.

Squad management is in the game now - although you can't kick from a squad. We just start a new squad (there's no cap) if we need to get someone else in and we've got someone random in ours.

Definitely agree about the inconsistency in the hit reg, sometimes it feels like my first 4/5 bullets just don't do anything.
