*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Had a few blasts on the new map earlier, its not too bad, think it would be WAY to much with 124 players though lol so can see why its 64 player

Had a few rounds tonight, first time I've played in 7 weeks since I completed the battlepass (been spending my time since in COD) , enjoyed my time and like the new map. Dunno why everyone is saying it is the same az Zavod from BF4, the similarity is only very slight.

However when you spend a little time away you really do appreciate how good the game is

New map is pretty intense. Only had a few rounds so far so still getting accustomed to it.

2 of the rounds I played last night, I didn't earn any mission points nor ribbons but my XP earned was still counted. Anyone else had the same?

I'm torn between BF2042 and Diablo 4 ATM.. I'm loving the new reclaimed map. Has anyone tried the hourglass rework or has it not been released yet?

I'm having an absolute nightmare at the moment trying to get 2042 to work. I've not changed any hardware or anything on PC since last season, never had any issues prior and now whenever I launch the game get into a lobby I immediately get the below about an anti-cheat.

I've actually swapped to playing on PS5 temporarily so I can play the new map.

I'm at almost 400 hours of 2042 in total, never had any issues with this before and was playing a few weeks ago with no issues at all... Anyone got any ideas?

saw a guy post on twitter the other day indicating he had completed the battlepass in 2 days. Said he did it by playing aggressively and capping flags. Probably the heli xp farm (I'm on level 30 of the BP already and not played much)

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble bud.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is check the firewall exceptions?

How's everyone enjoying the new season?

I really like the map, it's a shame it doesn't have one more set of objectives for Breakthrough as it feels a bit short but it plays nicely. Conquest is good - although I think it's very weighted towards the Russian side. I think I've won every single game I've started on that side and it's been 50/50 or 40/60 win rate on the US side.

Still not sure how I feel about the changes to the weapon accuracy for the ARs with the spread/dispersion changes. I feel like it should apply to all or none - right now it's easier to beam someone with a PP29 from 40m away than it is with an SFAR.

The new G36 AR is a lot of fun, doesn't feel too powerful (like the RM68 was last season) but nice at mid to short range.

I really like what DICE have done with the season pass / missions and the cosmetics too - especially in comparison to MW2 / COD games. There's a real FOMO vibe with the COD season pass, it takes a weird amount of time to complete and you never know what progress you're making. In 2042, I just focus on the weekly missions, play enough to get those done and then if I feel like it I'll play a bit more after that too.

Definitely lots for DICE to learn from this game and it's state at release but I do think they've done a really good job in bringing it back. I'd have said it was a 3-4/10 at launch - and it now, for me, sits at a 7.5/10.

It follows the same pattern as the last few BF games, absolute turd on release then they slowly make it better but they should have learned this already from previous titles.

By the time it's in a decent state, most people are past caring and have moved on to other games.

I agree with you dude that they aren't amazing, but saying that I mostly use SMG or LMG. Unlocked that new hand cannon pistol. I think I'll replace the super-500 with that. :D

I'm loving it dude. Since December I've put 500hrs into the game. Still shockingly bad with K/D ratio at times but it's good fun. :D

Bring on Season 6!

One of the biggest annoyances in the game and has got me killed countless times, and it's not being killed around corners. It's when you throw a C5 press detonate and nothing happens, or when you go to fire your gun with a full clip and the gun does nothing! Happened to me last night, I was going to shoot someone the gun wouldn't fire, switched over to the shotgun and gun wouldn't fire. Then I died!

Not system related as this happens on two different systems, different internet etc
