*** The Official Battlefield 2042 thread***

Said it before and ill say it again, so many people just hate on this game because of the release state and never tried it since which i understand but if you havent played in the last 6 months or so you have no right to make judgement on the game.

I was so hyped for this game at release. I actually bought a 3090 that year because I thought it would be worth it for BF:2042 alone. Tried the beta... wasn't a fan but thought it was a beta and probably months old. So I stopped playing and waited for the release.

I had the 10 hour trial included with my GamePass subscription so I used that before buying it. I played about 90 minutes before realising the game was just truly awful and uninstalled it to never play again.

Then I saw your comment last week and after being a bit unimpressed with MW3 I thought I'd try it again.

You're not wrong. It feels completely different and now actually feels a bit more like a battlefield game. Having a good time just being a medic. I suck at it (0.98 kdr right now) but it's putting a smile on my face and I'm enjoying playing it.

I do need to work out how to 'zero' weapons in though. Using a DMR from range gets a bit tiring.

been having fun with this, played at launch for a few months and gave up but now hitting it up every night having a blast with friends, i got 260 hours into it now so got my 70 quid back & then some
playing at 1440p with medium graphics at 200fps on 3090 :), whilst i can use high i prefer more constant fps

Ive jumped back on this recently and its been decent. Although every now and then at the end of a round it black screens and i have to shut the game down and relaunch it. The developers are aware of it apparently.

Cheating is becoming a problem again and it only took around two-three weeks to be updated for the latest anti-cheat which blocks MSI AFterburner

New account level 20 just wiping people out as a medic 105/5 deaths with a pp29

odd just works here, turning it off/on is a massive difference
Amd or Nvidia?

I got it working properly yesterday by running the game Borderless with a HDR video on YouTube paused in the background.

Can't be bothered to to do that every time I boot as that only seems to randomly work in itself.
