Ouch Tom Henderson says performance in 2042 is 70% lower than BFV

so for example if you had 120fps at 1440p max settings in BFV, you'll have 40fps at 1440p in 2042 using the same system

I'm hoping for decent FPS, games like this are the whole reason I went all in with a 5950x, 32GB RAM and a 3080.

It doesn't even have raytracing which is disappointing after V, why is it so demanding I wonder.

Less than 6 hours until this kicks off. I'm powering through loads of work this morning and need to get home and actually preorder if I want early access. I was planning on just using the public days, but things have shifted around this week.

Cautiously excited at this point.

Ray Tracing is over rated and its bad for Graphics cards ! its abit like 3D TVs ! We don't need them.....

Nah - the implementations of ray tracing so far are pretty meh but ray tracing itself when done properly is the next thing and is capable of far more than what we've seen from the token effects slapped in alongside traditional rendering techniques.

I play with about 60 other guys and everyone who has EA Play Pro can't get past the QR code, but anyone who pre ordered managed to get in
