*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

Well boils to it! Joined Premier for a month & I'll see how it goes. I put quite a few hours into BF1 but eventually got annoyed & bored with it so I'm sure it'll be worth it for a month or two for this one:)

Buy a 1080ti for BF V, it's gonna be great!

Then reality sets in :(

Stuttery unplayable mess, look at the frame graph.
Silly me thinking I could just launch and play a pc game without having to troubleshoot...

I purchased Premier, getting a refund on my Deluxe Edition purchase.

DX12 is still a problem, so sticking to DX11.

It did for me, but i just clicked play and i was in.
Yeah a friend of mine is on now as well.

For the more impoverished amongst us, if you are a basic subscriber, you can get a 10 hour trial live now. I bought the game as well, so that will do me until the next release timepoint, and you keep your progress apparently (obvs cant test this yet)

Disable DX12. It’s known issue to cause stutters.
Certainly runs better in DX11 but..

Can't get it to use all of the GPU, even on low settings I can't break 60fps despite vsync off and frame limiter etc @ 120fps, as you can see above 120fps is fine in the menu, but in game it won't go above 60, is multiplayer capped?

Not that I noticed but given how bad it was performing until I turned it on I'd take any input lag over that stuttering.

Anyone know how to use or where to find these 10hr codes? My mate has ea access but not premier so just want to give him a code to try it out.

Can somebody who's now playing please answer these questions for me :) :
  • How long is the average conquest game? The same, shorter or longer than BF4 and BF1?
  • Is the gun play better than the Beta?
  • Is the STG 44 still hilariously OP?
  • Do planes now conform to the laws of physics in at least some manner?
  • Hitboxes and netcode all good? No annoying lag kills?
  • Availability and uptime of servers good enough not to have an evening ruined but crashes, kicks and queues?
TIA :)
