*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

Loving the game, fantastic gunplay, bullets actually go where you want them to go even when controlling recoil. Absolute rekking time last night as assault, massive fun with the stg44 and biiiiiig k/d's :D

Shame they can’t limit recon players to say, 5 per team. I know people play the game however they want but when it feels like your the only one doing anything due to the “1337 bipod long scope pros” it does get mildly irritating.

They removed 3d spotting so recon was always bound to go up.

I'm really enjoying it so far, haven't encountered too many bugs personally. I would say though to pay the £4 and get Origin Access for a month to try it out first, as opinions seem to be divided on it so far...

i think doing the trial is the best thing to do. i played bf since the start and buy everyone day 1 normally. not this though. some love it some hate it. thing is some will be commited as they just brought it. so its great regardless. if you know what i mean. do the trial could save you nearly 50 quid. worth it.

Won't take a gamble so will take the trail before ponying up the pennies. Looks okay so far though, a bit buggy in places but tell me a game that isn't lately. Will hit up that trial later.

the bugs personally didnt put me off. its expected from battlefield and dice. its the core design and gameplay. maps are badly designed. boring. 1 decent map out the lot. 2 maps are from medal of honor 2010. which flopped after about a month. they promised then almost identical dlc and such with maps content. yet it was dead about 4-6 weeks after launch on pc. so the content was pointless. i think this will be similar. the animations are too slow. too clunky. they have basically put the least amount of effort into a game as possible to make the most profit.it plays like it.

some will like it. its sorta like playing modern cod but in battlefield. very short life span.gameplay wise.

Had 2 games of the trail i got, will say one thing the maps i played were very pretty, running it at ultra settings does dip below 60fps slightly but only down to 50 so still more than playable frame rate.

The game itself, well its okay, doesn't capture feelings I had when playing BF BC2 or BF3/4, I think it will be a pass from me unless my view changes in remaining time of trail

Gun play is easy and make an easy game to play. It's the maps that let this game down, they should have been much much better.

Mmm just played for an hour and a half and it felt like my input was a suggestion, my character thought about it then reacted. Really didn’t feel smooth at all.
Was in your server last night I think, had a couple of decent games against you guys!

I'm definitely noticing the input lag with FFR switched on, unfortunately turning it off kills my FPS so keeping it on is the better of two evils.

Played a few rounds in a 4-man squad on Discord & it was fantastic - totally transforms the experience for me; I think BF1 was so casual you could get away with running solo, but this game really rewards squad play - especially with attrition thrown in.

Think I've still got 1 trial invite left if anyone wants it?

Pretty certain 3 have been used, but when I go 'refer a friend' it says 0 / 4 have been redeemed

Do you need Origin or anything like that installed to be able to refer a friend?

I am working abroad at the moment , but I have an EA/Origin membership, so I assume that I have access and 4 referrals available?

Glad i bought the £15 prem to try this.

I'm on the fence. I enjoyed BF1 at the start more than this if i'm honest. Dont think i'm going to buy it. Cant put my finger on it.... I may buy this down the line. But for now just going to enjoy the month.

It seems different to other BF games.... Agrrrr i really want a game which everyone enjoys and sticks to playing!

Side note: Well happy i could upgrade bf1 for free aswel so dont feel like i've lost anything!

Plays a little like Bad Company in most respects, liking it so far. Pick up and play?

Indeed! Going back to BF1 and BF4 for my Battlefield fix but will keep an eye on BF5. After all my concerns and moaning, getting back to the general feel, it's just not the same.
