Might have already been mentioned but is tides of war a bit broken?

I got all the way to the last chapter, "Get 2 kills as a squad with the V1 or JB2"

So game 1, I used it and got 1 kill. This has counted. Next game a new squad leader used it and got 5 kills yet none of them counted for me so I am stuck at 1 out of 2, does it only unlock for the squad leader? Technically my various squads have 6 kills.

Also I cannot get a decent team or squad for the life of me do do this :(

When you can find a good squad the game really improves, like previous bf games this can sometimes be hard to find. Bf2142 had the best squad play.

Did this last night - you as SL need to get 2 kills from your 'called in v1 / JB2
 
Installed BF5 on my sons pc that came with my 2080 but its running like a complete dog, his is a 2500k (not overclocked) with 8gb Ram and a GTX 970, what sort of FPS should I be expecting on a 1080p screen? its sitting around 60fps normally but then drops down to 20ish when it starts to stutter like mad, bf1 etc run great, latest drivers installed etc etc

Best way to check is run something like afterburner etc in the back ground to show what is causing the slow downs. If GPU or CPU hit 100% when the slow downs occur that is the bottleneck.

My guess of things to look at would be overclocking CPU being careful of temps / power if that is the bottle neck, 8GB of ram is on the limit for running this game see if you get a lot of disk access when the game slows down which means it is paging to the swap file or loading things in rather than them being in RAM, also have a look at the BF5 fps guides on youtube I used one and it really helped improve my FPS (Had a quick look and can't find it now).

Game has issue for me whether I play using DX11 or DX12. Just different types.

DX12 is smoother but with bigger more dramatic stutters. DX11 doesn't feel as smooth or fast but has smaller micro stutters instead.

I had performance issues with BF1 as well.

I've found you can improve your squad by sticking close to them each game. They eventually learn how it works by the 3rd map. Ignore the tool in the bomber/tank, they can do their own thing.

Just checked the GPU, max load is around 60% and used about 2800mb of vram will try and check the cpu usage, most of the 8gb ram is being used however so might be that
 
I can't complete the last step of the tide of war series as its completely bugged. I've killed loads of people with the V1 and J2B and nothing seems to count. I've been playing games directly through the actual achievement which loads conquest and it still doesn't work. Normally I wouldn't care and I'd just forget about it for a while, yet this utter turd is time gated and has 4 days left...

Sigh DICE = FIX THE GAME!!!!!

You have far more patience than I do :)

I now just tend to change squads until I get in one that at least sticks together most of the time.

That's what I would check next if it keeps hitting 100% especially when things go slow that may be the cause. My old I5-760 overclocked to 3.8Ghz did this in BF1 and was why in the end I upgraded keeping my rx480 GPU and screen.

I agree, usually it is me and one other, we struggle with the randoms we get. I am alone for 2 weeks now whilst he is on hols :(

That is infuriating as it isn't clear. Also the chance of me getting a decent squad as leader and three randoms is slim:(

They have said that the time gated mission isn't going to be the only way to accomplish it. Just add this to the pile of BF5 fails..
