*** The Official Battlefield 5 thread***

Don't you just need to be in the squad and not necessarily the leader?

That is what it says but doesn't work. It's only registering the kills for the leader.

I played 1 game as leader, got one kill so now it's stuck at 1 out of 2, my team mate didn't get a kill registered. I played another game with randoms, our squad leader got 6 kills but it didn't register for anybody else.

I spoke to EA support and they said the entire squad should get the assignment tracked, they also said they're aware it's glitched for some and that they're working on a fix.

It was glitched for me as well playing as a squad member but did unlock as SL.

Well it ends on Wednesday, I am on 12 hour shifts from tomorrow so won't get a chance to play.

Are they awarding it to players who should have gotten it or expecting you to do it once it's fixed?

I really wish dice would stop with the over the top foliage "bombs" that randomly appear right in your face. Can be running along then all of a sudden you get an explosion of foliage right in front of you blocking your vision for a few seconds. That's another one of those things that you shouldn't notice but they make it all too obvious. It's like the street birds in battlefront 2 that go through pavements, walls etc, they're in this as well but not as badly done.

They have no flipping idea, the team have really lost their way the last couple of releases. I find it amazing how they find it so hard to copy the winning formula of BF3/BF4/BFBC2

That's what I would check next if it keeps hitting 100% especially when things go slow that may be the cause. My old I5-760 overclocked to 3.8Ghz did this in BF1 and was why in the end I upgraded keeping my rx480 GPU and screen.
So I put 16gb in today and its definitely helped pretty much sitting at 60fps all the time now, definitely no major lagging, problem I have is although its a 2500k its on a P61 board so ram is stuck at 1333 and cant overclock cpu, the price of 2nd had s1155 boards is just crazy I might aswell just bite the bullent and get him a new rig, or maybe a gpu? or both :D

That's exactly the point I got to , there was no sensible upgrade path for what I had except getting everything pretty much brand new :)

I would be tempted to grab a 2600, RAM and MB. It may not give a huge boost like a new GPU but it will smooth out the big FPS drops that are caused by the CPU being choked. It will make the game a lot more playable, well until the 3.5Gb of VRAM on the 970 runs out.

When you say 2600 which cpu do you mean? Not i7 2600 :) I'm presuming Ryzen 2600 which is actually what I was looking at, don't really want to be spending a fortune so would be looking at a pretty budget matx board (don't want full atx) i'll probably donate my ram and get some new ddr4 myself, any recommendations on a cheapish matx board?

Have you overclocked your Ryzen 1700 ?

Most will hit 3.7Ghz on all cores easily and then after that its a bit of luck how far you can go if you want to. The other thing is to get your RAM running at 3200c14 if you can as this helps with performance but not so much with BF games.
