Thinking more about the game this morning, the most fun I had last night was when with a decent squad. I'm sure solo play will become more enjoyable as I get familiar with the maps but following my more experienced squad mates around was brilliant, they knew exactly where we needed to be. There was lots of reviving (by me also) and replenishment, it really felt like we were a team and I ended up 5th on the scoreboard at the end.
One criticism, though: I wish they'd slow movement down a bit.

I love being a medic and reviving people in BF1 (im crap at shooting) but I'm really not getting on with the medic class in BF5. The guns are crap compared to the Assault class and the revive icons are too small on my HUD (and this is on a 27" 1080p monitor!). My current plan is the Soumi smg with hip fire options unlocked. And just spray and prey! The medic class seems a bit pointless when non medics can revive their squad, and no one seems to do any reviving except me anyway...

This was my feeling after a quick game last night - movement etc. just felt really fast-paced, which I don't usually mind in general but this felt 'CoD fast' to me.
I think many thought BF1 movement to be a little on the slow side, myself included. Its a little too fast though I agree.
Yes, there were times when I was following my squad around, through narrow corridors or passageways, up stairs etc, where the speed seemed ridiculously fast.
Fair-enough sprinting short distances flat-out inbetween cover over open areas, but being able to maintain that pace indefinitely over all kinds of surfaces, and even indoors, spoils it a bit for me.
If they could limit the distance you can sprint, and alter the speed at which you can sprint depending on where you are (e.g. twisting corridor/stairs/open ground) and what's underfoot (e.g. mud/rubble/sand/concrete etc), that would make a big difference for me.
Yeah, think that about sums it up - somewhere in between the two would be perfect imo.
bf1 movement is insanely fast though.

How can you say it's easy when there's the possibility of another player being as good or better than you? Unless you're saying you're the best and can take on an entire team.

Its easy to kill. Its easy to be killed. Its just brainless nothing now. BF = COD now. I'm sorry, but it is. Mack is right on the money.
I'll give it one thing though, it looks fantastic graphically. But then they go and stick red dot sights onto an STG44 just like the red dot sights on the SMGs in BF1. Completely loses the immersion.
I'm voting with my feet now, as I have done with COD for a number of years and I won't be buying.
It's not battlefield, it's trying to be cod and failing,. It's easy to rack up kill streaks from what i've played and has 0 reward or any substance playing it.
As much as I love Mack's videos, I do think he's looking back on BF1942 with one hell of a big pair of rose tinted glasses.
While the maps were huge and it was such a ground breaking game for it's time, I also remember grenade spam, poor gunplay and being absolutely annihilated by planes.
Only had a few games of BFV last night, quite liked Rotterdam, but I really do hate that snow map.

Tried it today, boring,dumb, mindless shooter imo just like bf1..but worse lol bf games are just large scale cods now, hardly any skill required, everyone runs around like headless chickens and theres no care at all if you die in this game.
I will stick to insurgency and rising storm Vietnam I think
