The *OFFICIAL* BF2142 thread

The open beta will start today, and this is how it's going to work.

IGN and Gamespy are going to giveaway 12 thousand extra keys without any registration limitation meaning there is no need to pay in order to become a beta tester.
Moreover, Dice and EA are going to giveaway another 10-11 thousand of keys.


i think theres more than enough don't you ;)

I have kept refreshing Fileplanet for the last 10 minutes as well. Anyone else get the feeling it will not appear today?

I'm in the Q for download but how do I get a key lads??

you should have had the key before you downloaded..weird. check your email.

:( I had waited from 30 mins to 5 then my pc decided to reboot for no real reason.......soooooooo 51 minute Q again....lol oh well!!
 
I'm not seeing where to request the key from, only the updated beta file.

N/M had to disable the firewall :rolleyes:

time keeps jumping, 40 to 45 now 50 I started on 51 10mins ago :(

edit: got this in a mail just now?? I wasn't part of the old beta testing so I take it this does effect me?

"The old beta client will not run with the updated servers so you will need to download this new build. You'll also need to uninstall the old beta client before installing this one. This new version includes many fixes for stability, functionality and balance as well as performance enhancements Thank you for all of your bug reports, forum posts and hard work testing Battlefield 2142.
