I can understand fighters lower down the rankings fighting for little money with a minimal team taking something that will so a positive on test, but not at this level. Everything Whyte takes should be cleared.

Let’s wait and see what has gone on. It could be a false positive.

I wonder if by banned substance they could mean recreational drugs. I can't see how UKAD, VADA and the BBBofC could all let the fight go ahead if it was PEDs, reeks of corruption if it was.

Still, very bad for Whyte, his reputation will be gone and this could take years to resolve. If he did take PEDs then that's probably it for him. Interesting looking back now as he was saying after the fight that camp had been full of issues.

As for the Ruiz Joshua rematch, I honestly wouldnt be surprised if it didn't happen.

Not good news for Matchroom if the rumours are true that they knew a couple of days before the fight...

... bad news incoming.

Shame was a real fan of Whyte too and was happy he looked to be getting a title shot.

Well we don’t know the details. I’ve seen tests flag up after energy drinks and licorice.

Scrap that - listen carefully from about 1:10

Whyte: ****** ing hell.
Hearn: Alright Mate?
Whyte: ****** ing hell in it, Jesus Christ bruv. I haven't slept at all the last couple of days.
Hearn: Nor have I, but I didn't have to fight.
Whyte: ****** sake.
Hearn: Mate, that was the miracle of all miracles wasn't it?
Whyte: That's the difference between being a professional...
Hearn: I had everything, I had a statement for you ready to go.... and he just phone me up and was like... we did it and i was like oh my god.
Whyte: I need to keep my hair for some reason. It's a ****** ing stitch up, I passed 2 tests in 2 days and then one in a million..

:eek::eek:

Those alleged two tests & two days can mean nothing as getting a positive is a matter of catching it at the right moment, and some luck, considering masking agents or whatever.

I really like Dillian so I'm hoping it's anything but him actually juicing.

Something I did notice, before all of this came to light during one of the post-fight videos that IFL put up you could hear Dillian saying he thought he'd be tired in the later rounds but he still had lots of energy. Didn't think anything of it at the time but hearing that now as well as everything else. Tough call...

I do think when fighters are getting really big pay-days they're stupid to not have someone on their team whose sole job is to check everything that they have both during camp and off camp.

Hes released a statement saying hes disappointed by the rubbish being reported and he has lawyers dealing with it

Hopefully thats a good sign that it is indeed false the fact the doping agencies have said nothing makes it sound false to me also

Neither Whyte nor Hearn have directly said he didn't fail a test which tells you everything. I think it's pretty obvious that he's tested positive for something. As for how or why he was still allowed to fight - I'd guess that UKAD were probably threatened with legal action if they tried to stop him fighting before any charges were officially brought against him and proven and they **** themselves following the mess when Fury failed his test years ago.
