@Locky

I think you just like being a little extreme, you can't take away what he's achieved and done for the division. We all know he's carrying too much muscle, as a result he tires quicker than he would otherwise but he certainly looks the part and its helped build up his profile and fan base. He's achieved a hell of a lot in a very short space of time, he's always been fairly down to earth, there's no reason why he can't come again. Even with all his flaws, he still beats the majority of heavyweights out there comfortably.

The rematch is anything but a foregone conclusion, it will be fascinating to see how it unfolds but regardless, everyone will be tuning in to see what happens.

Ruiz wasn't rusty going into the AJ fight..

He pretty much had a full camp for his previous fight leading up to the AJ which ended up basically being a warm up fight.

So it's rubbish to say he went from couch to the call up

Well over 100 amateur fights and 30+ pro fights at 29years old or whatever...

Snickers aside he is conditioned to fight and is obviously a natural fighter the way he reacted under fire from AJ

Ruiz and every other heavyweight with an ounce of ambition will have been studying Joshua. Obviously Joshua didn’t do the same. Ruiz is no joke, he’s as real as they come.

I think any doubt about whether Whyte failed a drug test can now be put to bed. There's a video on IFLTV on YouTube (can't link it due to the language) where Bob Arum and Hearn were doing a press-conference together and Arum directly tells everybody that Whyte tested positive for steroids and that Rivas wasn't informed - Hearn didn't say a word in response. It's one thing not charging Whyte and suspending him until after the B sample has been tested and him being proven guilty but for the opponent not to be informed is ****ing crazy. Can you imagine what would have happened had Whyte knocked Rivas out and seriously hurt him and everybody from the boxing board, UKAD, all Whyte's camp and the promoter of the show all knew he'd failed a drugs test before the fight? If I'm Rivas then I'm looking at every single legal option I have to sue the life out of the british boxing board, UKAD and matchroom right now.

And now it's officially official:

https://wbcboxing.com/en/status-of-dillian-whyte/

The WBC have confirmed that Whyte's A sample tested positive for something and that they're provisionally suspending him as the interim champ and mandatory challenger. I sincerely hope that Whyte is banned for a very long time and loses his mandatory position, no matter how innocent his excuse may be - to not inform your opponent that you failed a test has got to be the biggest ****house move in boxing.

And still no word from UKAD or the BBBoC on why the fight was allowed and why nobody informed Rivas. Some serious **** going on with this whole thing.

It's the not informing Rivas bit that I just can't get my head around. I can understand that UKAD were too afraid to ban Whyte without having the B sample tested and a full hearing but they've got to let Rivas know the score. Boxers literally put their lives on the line everytime they step in the ring - how Rivas was allowed to go into that fight without knowing that Whyte was juiced up is scandalous. UKAD, the board, matchroom and Whyte deserve everything that comes there way. Hearn's talked so much about drugs cheats in boxing and how it's not the same as athletics and that one day somebody will be killed in the ring and there will be murder charges etc etc, and then he allows Rivas to go into that fight in the dark.

The whole thing is bizarre, I really like Whyte, he's been great value for money and a good contender since his AJ loss. But this has to be one of the stupidest moves I can recall if it's intentional. The fact that he's been so vocal about other fighters juicing and so insistent on strict drug testing for his fights, plus the position he finally landed himself in just baffles me. If it's unintentional and he's had some tainted stuff then it's his own fault and should have learned his lesson from the first ban.

There's obviously a lot going on behind the scenes, hence why everybody is choosing their words very carefully. The fact that the conversation has leaked with Hearn almost gloating about it to Whyte at a press conference is very damning and shows how full of crap he is. I think this could potentially have massive repercussions for all those involved, the choice not to inform Rivas is shocking, can you imagine if Whyte had KO'd him and done some serious damage?

Whyte has been suspended by WBC...
Still no B sample news at this point? I think I'm just gonna have to accept Whyte was ******* hot.

C'mon Whyte. You blew your chance if this is true. With AJ getting beaten up he was finally starting to captures peoples attention and then he does this. He already got caught and banned for 2 years for taking that Jack3d supplement.I can understand how that happens but this time you're a PPV fighter commanding millions per fight. His team should've been looking after it.

I have no idea why Eddie signed Hughie the most boring fighter to watch in a long time. Hope Povetkin flattens him.

A work colleague and I wanted to get tickets to that Loma fight but it sold out of the affordable seats super fast. I don't wanna pay £200 to watch Loma batter Campbell around a ring for a few rounds.
