I thought klitschko had a rematch with fury written in the contract?

Boxing news "Wladimir Klitschko is going to have the rematch"

also noticed his quote on BBC "Tyson has a brain the size of a squirrel's"

lols

I do wonder if Klitschko has setup what is bound to be a BIG final payday with a rematch. So he can retire at the "top" (avoid others) and make a bucket load of cash . The rematch would see similar revenue as the Haye fight.

Unlikely perhaps but he he threw so little last night it does make me wonder.

David Haye hopefully never gets another shot at a world heavyweight title. He talked the talked before the klitschko fight and totally bottled it in the ring, and he pulled out of two fights with Fury. He doesn't deserve it.

As shot or as old as klitschko looked last night, the fact is he came out took centre of the ring and tried doing what he always does but he was never able to find his range, he couldn't land his jab cleanly and it baffled him, he became more and more hesitant in throwing anything because he was missing so much and getting caught himself. His robotic style has worked for him, he was left clueless when he had to adapt.

Fury has to be given a lot of credit because he did what no one thought he could do and that was outbox klitschko, he had the size and movement to trouble klitschko but most importantly he didn't bottle it, he genuinely believed he could win. Klitschko imo always doubted himself hence why he tried gaining small advantages before the fight, all of which failed.

Like I said though, Joshua would beat Fury every day of the week because he's too fast and he hits too hard. He wouldn't hesitate to unload on Furys chin because Fury does not hit very hard so he doesn't have to worry, and it'd only be a matter of time before he landed one clean.

I thought the same thing while watching it. Would be funny in a rematch if he knocked him out in the first!

WK fills stadia when he's fighting the Kevin Johnsons and Derrick Chisoras of the world. He doesn't need a Rocky-style redemption story to make a few quid.

AJ looks formidable, but let's reserve too much praise until he's faced a live fish. He's been well matched so far, as you would expect.

DW is just a slugger, so falls behind Fury IMO. Very limited against technically capable fighters who won't be easily bludgeoned out of the ring.

If Haye's back to his best, he could cause any heavyweight issues. Except WK, so long as last night wasn't a sign of major decline, his attributes are all wrong for haye.

The fact Wilder couldn't finish, and didn't get anywhere near to finishing, a severely dehydrated Stiverne over 12 rounds speaks volumes imo. He is an amusing windmill farm though, his finish of Duhaupas is one of the funniest stoppages I've seen for a long time. He was swinging so wildly he almost span himself around :D

But that makes no sense as he will take a much smaller percentage of the purse being the challenger.
Much more financially sound to fight Wilder in a reunification superfight and take the lions share no?
Personally, I dislike Fury but he showed Klitschko to be the athlete he is. He's no boxer, he's an athlete with no natural boxing instincts.
And for all those calling for Joshua, he's nowhere near that level yet. He's fought no one of ability but Fury will be long gone by the time he's ready. If all goes well, I'm reckoning late 2016 or 2017 for a Joshua title shot.

Just watched the end of that fight , wilder is so wooden its unreal!

Like you said though one of the funniest stoppages I've seen

Thats the beauty of different divisions as each one has its own characteristics. I prefer the heavyweights even if some are slow!

I would like to know what the Haye fight grossed when compared to Saturday nights.

Can you (or anyone else for that matter) provide the info.

It would be interesting to know...
