As I said, they're going to threaten the boxing board with damages if they don't sanction it and if that doesn't work, they'll get it sanctioned by another board. Both promoters should lose their license.

Get your bingo card ready
  1. Tainted supplements
  2. Tainted horsemeat
  3. Tainted kangaroo meat
  4. Some other tainted meat
  5. Tainted sex pills
  6. Dodgy skin cream
Those are all off the top of my head from the MMA world but I'm sure they'll transfer nicely into boxing.

In the words of Anderson Silva: "Eeeess normal!!" :p

The fight shouldn't be going ahead but if it does, I'll still watch.

Edit - it really sends a wrong message IF Benn has been caught cheating.

Yeah ilL still watch the fight. I think Eubank wins regardless always have.

If the B sample shows up positive then he gets a ban and deservingly so. He’s a fool.

It sends the wrong message regardless of whether Benn's innocent or guilty. This is boxing, not darts, snooker or even football - these guys are going to get in a ring and try to knock each other out, one of which is likely to be severely weight drained and you're going to allow the fight to go ahead when the other guy is, possibly, juiced up?

As soon as any fighter tests positive for anything then they should be immediately banned until there's been a full investigation and the matter resolved. The risks to fighters health are just too severe to take any chances.

Allowing a fight to go ahead after a fighter has tested positive is like allowing a drink driver to carry on driving home after being pulled over because the court hasn't banned them yet.

the problem is when a driver sobers up in the cell he can carry on driving until his court date even though he blew positive

Ok, it wasn't a 100% like for like comparison but the underlying point stands. Benn has, potentially, juiced up and is going into the fight with the physical advantages of that juicing. There should be no scenario where that possibility is allowed to happen and that includes hiding behind the fact that he's not been banned yet.

Came across this post elsewhere.

So I've written this on you tube to try and stop people with little or no knowledge of drugs, drug testing and there findings from going off at the deep end, think I might be fighting a losing battle there but lets see if the boxing folks are more considered.

So for all those who aren't aware (and looking at the comments below its quite a lot) there's a difference between a failed test and an adverse finding, failed tests are where a substance has been found that isn't allowed, adverse findings are substances that are allowed but are reading at levels deemed to be adversely / inexplicably high or are substances found that wouldn't normally be found but aren't deemed to be of any practical advantage physically to the athlete (so not banned but not expected to be there).

In this case it looks to be the latter of these, they've found a fertility drug in his sample which isn't banned but as you'd understand is an unusual finding thus VADA have raised it.

I'd be interested to know what it is, if its Clomid (clomiphene) or Nolvadex (tamoxifen), both of these are fertility drugs designed for use by woman who want to increase there chance of pregnancy if there struggling to conceive however it is (can be) used by men as a PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) to increase / recover testosterone levels after intense periods of workout (and note is often used as a PCT after use of steroids' or SARM's).

So innocent until proven guilty and if the drug testing agencies (VADA ad UKAD) haven't found anything other than this (i.e. no SARM's or Steroids) in his samples then I'd suggest its fair enough to allow him to carry on and fight given that this will provide no edge physically to Benn up and above his natural physical ability, these drugs will only bring his testosterone back to its normal levels in his body and that's where his body should be although its an unusual way to bring testosterone back in someone so young and fit, you'd think his natural testosterone production would be sufficient to get him where he needs to be.

As for all the stick Hearn's getting well the decision as to whether the fight goes ahead is the BBBoC's as they sanction the fight, both fighters are happy to carry on and given the substance I'm not surprised as both guys know if it is Clomid or Nolvadex (which I strongly suspect it is) then its really not a factor physiologically in the fight, would be different if it was a SARM or a Steroid as of course they provide a significant physical advantage and if it were drugs of that type then the BBBoC wouldn't sanction the fight

well that guy doesnt know what hes on about because the "adverse finding" which he says are substances that are allowed is total **** because Clomifene is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned substance list

There is no other reason to be taking Clomid or Nolva if you are a man unless you want to restore your natural test levels after doing a cycle of roids or sarms. There is masking agents for said cycles and I feel this has slipped through and shown up on a test..
I personally think hes been on the gear in the off season and trying to hide it..

Look how much mass hes had to pack on to fight Eubank

It seems like this has happened before when Usyk was scheduled to fight Tyrone Sprong

We have been contacted by VADA to inform us that there has been an adverse finding in Tyrone Spong’s test. It has been sent to the State of Illinois commission and further information will be released in the morning. We have reserve opponents standing by.

It doesn’t help that he also said this lol. Seems they are in between a rock and a hard place.

The fight is still on as of this writing, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen an “adverse finding” not result in trouble.

It’s possible either way it doesn’t look good for him especially after the way he was reacting to Eubank trolling. I’m gutted as I wanted to watch the fight but such is life. Heard a bloke on the radio say it’s cost him 2 grand for tickets and a hotel. I feel for him.

Quite a few UFC fighters have served bans for taking Clomiphene Jon jones was just one of the high profilers to be banned for it
