I couldn't care less unless he had a material effect on the outcome of the fight, which it didn't. It's cryarsing, just like his post fight comments about it being a lucky shot and claiming he slipped :D
Pretty significant to cause that kind of immediate swelling. He gave Smith plenty of respect in the ring directly after the fight, he didn’t pull a Wilder and refuse to acknowledge his opponent or that he had been beaten.

Do you not understand why he would say he got hit with a lucky shot during an interview minutes after the fight? A combination of ego, adrenaline perhaps even denial, but he’s a man that up until that very moment didn’t think that could happen, kind of like pretty much everybody else. He hasn’t come out with anything else, what you have is a statement from his team, most likely with the angle of selling the rematch.

We get it you have a pretty strong disliking for Eubank. Cool.

The irony in your last sentence is something else. It's quite difficult to debate with you when you twist and turn all over the place. I made a comment that he's cryarsing after a loss, you claimed he gave Smith all the respect and I've shown you that he didn't and now you're giving me a reason why he didn't.

I don't care what caused the swelling, it didn't cause him to lose that fight. I don't care about his ego, he didn't give Smith all the respect.

You've taken this loss worse than Eubank and I think @Malt_Vinegar had it right with his reply to you and it's only 2pm:
Haha, you are hilarious.
Night..

To say he got hit by a lucky shot isn’t cryarsing he attempted to justify it to himself. But anyway watch it for yourself from 3 mins “he hit me with a great shot” so you pick and choose.

The **** am I reading?

The elbow, if you can even call it that, wasn't anywhere near his eye, it caught him higher up and towards the back of his head.

He checked out the second the upper caught him flush and the last punch, which caught him smack bang on the side of the face, while his mind and body were contemplating life after death, clearly caused the damage.

Edit: Eubank, his team and his supporters should stop blaming Smith for an Elbow and blame Eubank for having no defence and drunk clown like head movement.

But what caused the lump under his eye?

Thanks, I was looking for a video to prove my point but that shows it clearly, his elbow was nowhere near the eye.
No look closer because the inside pointy bit looks very much like it hit exactly where that big lump was, that no one can explain how it got there. Further than that it caused Eubank to dip/slump down his hands to part open which was then followed directly by the uppercut and final left hook.

You can argue it wasn’t intentional but I think their is a good case to say it very much impacted the finishing of the fight.

The other things is Froch made the point like most of us that he was shocked how hurt Eubank looked, because as he said he knows how tough he is because he has hit him and by his own admission Eubank was always a tough spar.

You cannot tell me Smith punches as hard as Froch or Groves. What do they say are the punches that hurt the most? The one you don’t see. After being hurt by the ‘elbow’ he slumps and his hands part and I argue he didn’t see the uppercut coming and that is why he was hurt so badly and his legs were so wobbly.

Yarde looks to be carrying a lot of muscle, this suggests he spends a lot of time on the weights, will he gas out? I'm sure I read an article recently that said he's previously gassed out in fights. There's one thing we do know... 'biev has a great engine...

Yes he does but in boxing everything is possible and upsets are happening.

Yarde doesn't have the stamina but he does have a punchers chance so I expect him to roll the dice early and try and finish him within three. If he doesn't manage that, 4th or 5th round KO for Beterbiev. Whatever happens, should be explosive while it lasts.
