The angle probably doesn't help there, it would be interesting to see it from another side or close up.
You won’t get a better angle due to the position of Eubanks right glove being so close to the face.

Eubanks body language is the give away. Up to that point nothing clean lands and he rides pretty much everything up to that point, something caused him to react dip his legs and split his guard at that point he’s wide open for the uppercut and left hook which lands flush on the jaw.

It is correct to say that it is both a great punch the uppercut and a lucky punch. This was not Fury Wilder 2 where Fury was beating Wilder around the ring, this was a very short sequence of punches of which nothing lands clean other than the uppercut and left hook.

Really looking forward to Yarde's fight tonight. I know he is a wild underdog and I don't know if it's wishful thinking on my part but something feels different. Beterbiev isn't getting any younger and Father Time can pop up whenever he feels like it...

Though saying that I fully expect Beterbiev to win within 6 rounds. He just looks like he was built for nothing else but the hurt game. There's something about him but it's like whenever he touches someone they just get hurt.

I can't wait.

Other than Father Time the odds don’t look great. Yes he has power but so did Joe Smith Jr and he got clean out.

It’ll take more just power to beat Beterbiev and at this stage my moneys on Father Time being the only person to do it.

Going to go the same way as this? He’s just so heavy handed but if Yarde does pull off the unthinkable it’ll be one of the biggest upsets in British boxing.

My concern with Yarde is that he hasn't had the type of fights that would prepare him for some like Beterbiev. Though I really want him to get it done. But then I also don't because I want to see Beterbiev vs Bivol but I suppose if Yarde wins a fight against Bivol could also be interesting

It would just shake up the LHW division but I expect this to be a 4-6 round war. Yarde should just try to use his youth advantage and outwork him but like I said, Beterbiev looks like he just needs to touch a man to inflict pain. He has a 100% KO record for a reason

Tbf Beterbiev appears to be elite level and it’s hard to prepare for those types of guys. I’m the same as you I really want to see the Bivol fight, but I always back British and want them to win. If he does it fair shout to him, it’s not going to be easy though.

It's not going to be easy but sometimes power it's not enough look at Usyk/AJ.

Really looking forward to yarde vs beterbiev

Yarde is one of the nicest guys in boxing and an arsenal fan too :D

biev does leave openings when he comes forward and throws his arms we know yarde has power and biev has been down twice before. Wouldnt surpriase me if yarde won but i think biev will end it in 5

If yarde wins i really really hope he gets the stardom he deserves, hes had a proper hard background too

Loads of those punches were to the side/rear of the head, isn't that usually frowned upon as they 'scramble' the brain?

Rear of the head yes it’s called a rabbit punch. It’s not easy to throw a punch around your opponent and hit him on the back of the head unless he’s turning his head.

Side of the head is fair game as far as I’m aware and yes it’s the same shot Ruiz hit AJ with and it will or can scramble your brain.

depends on the Ref and what they see, hitting behind the head is dangerous and you can get various levels of warning from the Ref and a point taken away in the end and even disqualified in severe cases ( although i cannot recall any myself )

but it happens so fast and Refs vary in how keen they are.

i would wager that both will be throwing heavy shots tonight and some will end up hitting just about everywhere you can imagine.

It’s normally penalised when clinching rather than the heat of the battle.

This is the best anyone has done against Beterbiev. He’s just a different kind of animal.
