Yeah you might be right. He just looked to be in 2nd gear all night. Kind of disrespectful to the crowd but I doubt he will mind. He didn't lose and maybe he'll see that as progress. However, no-one will fear fighting him. Fury, Wilder, Joyce will see that as an easy fight. Quite strange really how reticent AJ has become since Ruiz battered him.
They wont fear him no BUT he's a draw and someone will take the fight.

Fury vs AJ is a given imo.

As per earlier posts, I've been watching documentaries/career reviews of boxers recently, the AJ one will be an interesting one to watch in the future.

Probably the wrong opponent to have to come back to. Should've had someone like the modern day Molina just to knock out and feel good against. Franklin was little bit too game and put on a decent showing considering where he was and being picked from obscurity to fight Whyte.

I think AJ can call out TF because apparently TF is too scared to fight Usyk so he may as well gets the payday he is looking for by fighting AJ.

Lots of negativity as expected it didn’t really matter what happened as it’ll never be enough.

That said it wasn’t a bad performance but it wasn’t a great performance either. Franklin was tough and game but AJ controlled the fight. I’d have liked to have seen a knockout but it wasn’t to be. He just need to tune out all the noise from the outside and just focus on what his coach wants him to do.

I would also be avoiding any of the top guys for the minute and have another top 20 fight at least. He just needs to stop trying to please those that will never be pleased, forget about them and focus on himself.

I still think it looks as though AJ has been gelded or something, since the Ruiz loss.

The pre-Ruiz AJ would have demolished Franklin
Seen people saying he doesn’t seem motivated. I would agree. AJ would have knocked this guy out a few years ago. A points victory just isn’t good enough at this level and at this stage of his career.

You’d think that after the fight ended, Bellew would be getting in place for his punditry work, but he thought having a fight Would be a far better idea. Utter nobber

This is long but really good. I never knew Mayweather struggled to make big bucks in the early years and created the persona to help change that.
It’s crazy to think that people still don’t recognise just how good he was. Going to take me awhile to get through this :).

Calzaghe has some good ones that are worth a look.

Cheers yeah will check out Calzaghe (isn't he tarnished a bit for not fighting a big name until late in career?).

I think when you look at Mayweather alone, to the non-expert fan he seems good, but when you compare him to other fighters he's just on a different level, although he did know when to pick fights also. I knew he came from a boxing family but I didn't realise how broken a family it was.
