112-112, I’ve drunk a fair bit but how does that even work?
That judge needs to be sacked, fined and investigated
I mean i was semi serious. You need a KO in boxing to ensure a win."impossible to win now on the cards"
Boxing judges
"hold my beer"
Or get a guide dog. That judge needs to be sacked, fined and investigated
Overhead camera and AI - thats the way forwardThe judging system needs a reform. Maybe an increase in amount of judges so maybe instead of 3 have 8 with 2 on each side of the ring. Then at the end of the fight have all of the judges share their cards any maybe work out an average of all the points.
I don't know what the solution is but I feel there is too much area to mess about with the current system

Well yes, it could take into account all of that, but the problem is there probably isn't sufficient training data. If you have footage from 4 sides of the ring AND known 'good' scorecards AND then hundreds of thousands of fights/rounds you could certainly get there.I don't know about AI because would it Tahoe into account styles? Or punches. Do they need a certain amount of power to be classified? I'll stick with humans but I think we need more than we have.
I find it incredible that someone as limited as Okolie had made it to world level. White collar is better than him. CBS said he'd been ill so I'd give him extra credit and dinner excuse for looking so laboured. The Okolie fight was awful, im happy he lost to be honest.
He was on about going up and challenging Usyk in the build up to this fight lol.The Okolie fight was awful, im happy he lost to be honest.
Should be a serious inquiry into that judge and that score. 112-112
With 3 Knock downs and 2 point deducted for holding.....No way on this planet you get 112-112
It was worse for Mayweather vs Canelo which was surely proof that corruption must exist.yeah, I couldn't believe it when it was a tie at 112-112! shocking tbh!
Judge C. J. Ross scored the fight 114–114, a draw. Judge Dave Moretti had it 116–112, and Craig Metcalfe scored it 117–111. Ross retired after this fight, after the scorecards were roundly criticized for not reflecting how dominant Mayweather's performance was.[4][5][6][7][8] Out of 86 media scorecards, all 86 scored the fight for Mayweather, with an average score of 119-109.
