So will half the division. He needs to pick wisely as the last time this happened it was a disaster.Joesph Parker is ready to jump onto a plane to fight him!
well it looks destined again. So will half the division. He needs to pick wisely as the last time this happened it was a disaster.
Can you apply for a refund though? Id imagine it would have a "subject to change" type clause in there. They need PPV to pay AJ but without a credible opponent, can they justify putting it on PPV and will the masses buy into it? It's not just the PPV but the near 20k people that have sold out the o2 including many 5 figure ringside seats too. You can imagine there will be a lot of requests for refunds (both tickets and ppv) if they put him in with somebody Joe public's never heard of.
I'm sure they're going to try to find somebody and try and justify keeping it on PPV but it might be easier to just run the card without AJ.
Its a easy link considering he's on the undercard so is training etc.Rumours are going around that it could be Chisora. Not a fight I’d want to see but it would be easy to sort out and one thing you can guarantee is that Chisora would give it his all.
I think it’s a case of making the best out of a bad situation, you won’t please everyone but what’s new with that.
Also this, although I’m not sure how seriously you can take Haye. It’s an easy link considering he's on the undercard so is training etc.
why wisely AJ is well over rated and he knows it.
I think he’s on a mission for mm accessI can’t think of many fighters better than Joshua TBH.
I'd be amazed if you couldn't. The card was sold as AJ vs Whyte not AJ vs some Bulgarian milkman. Can you apply for a refund though? Id imagine it would have a "subject to change" type clause in there.
Haha is he really?, hey don't knock the milkman a few combos aj will be down and gassed.I'd be amazed if you couldn't. The card was sold as AJ vs Whyte not AJ vs some Bulgarian milkman.
This is in their terms :I'd be amazed if you couldn't. The card was sold as AJ vs Whyte not AJ vs some Bulgarian milkman.
“I feel for Eddie, and I feel for ‘AJ’ more than anyone else, but it was the right decision to cancel the event. We’re in discussions with Matchroom and we’ll see what happens. I don’t think anything will get announced until early next week.
This has all played out in the last 24 hours, so we need to get into lots of detail and I think early next week there will be an announcement on that [on whether the show goes ahead.]
Completely depends [if it’s PPV] on opponent, date, all of this needs to be discussed – if it goes ahead next weekend we’ll have to wait and see.”
Yes it would be. You can't get a more material change than a change in the main event. This is in their terms :
12.1 AEG or an Organiser may make alterations to Events which are not material in nature. No refunds will be available in respect of non-material alterations.
A “material” change is a change to an Event which in the reasonable opinion of AEG or the Organiser, makes the Event substantially different to the Event which purchasers of the Ticket would reasonably expect to attend. Changes to performance times, supporting acts and the use of understudies in a theatre performance will not be a material change.
If he does fight a Bulgarian milkman is this a substatial difference as its still a "Boxing" fight...
No, I was using an exaggerated example of a nobody that might replace Whyte.Haha is he really?, hey don't knock the milkman a few combos aj will be down and gassed.
