Queer street is a colloquial term referring to a person being in some difficulty, most commonly financial. It is often associated with Carey Street, where London's bankruptcy courts were once located
Ooh, I've never known the origins of it was to do with financial issues. Every day is a school day!

Is 'Buzzed' the street you get to before Queer Street?

Yeah, I'd say so. Quite easy directions to Queer Street, to be honest. Take a quick straight right, then a left hook, down to the solar plexus with a short right hook and back upstairs with a short left upper cut and you'll find yourself on Queer Street. Stay there long enough and you may even find a nice comfortable spot on the floor to have a impromptu nap :p

Just watched the KSI Tommy Fury face off for some reason.

KSI: “Tyson Fury doesn’t punch hard”

I think KSI should be very carful calling out professional boxers. He might get killed.

To be fair Tyson Fury doesn't punch hard*

*Relative to other heavyweights. He'd knock my head clean off my shoulders.

Oof at 6’9” and 270lbs Fury will punch as hard as anyone IMO.

I’ve been in with one decent heavyweight for a few rounds, but Fury would be a whole different league. I can’t even imagine what it would be like. Very high risk, oxygen and maybe an ambulance on stand by. Just in case he upset me.

Oh, all the big guys can bang. Just physics when you have an 18st man punching you in the face, it's gonna hurt!

I just wouldn't classify Fury as a power puncher. He has gotten better since Sugar Hill joined, he sits on his punches a bit more now (at a detriment to when he would have incredible movement for a guy of his size) so he can crack but I don't put him in the bracket of someone like AJ, or more so, Wilder, who can both turn the lights off.

Finishing isn't really in Fury's bag like that

Still don't want to take even a stiff jab from him though.

Fury has so many options in fights. Stick fighters on the end of a solid arse jab for 12 rounds, wrestle and lean on people or go forward and set about breaking them down. Not many guys of this size take a 1/4 - 1/2 step back and throw a lead upper cut, lean back for the left hook then throw a right cross coming forward while rolling out of danger.

I’m sure if the mood took Fury he could also drop people quick smart, but it’s probably not the smartest of strategy.

I would like to see this :D

I disagree really, in terms of how he has plenty of options in fights. In my, useless armchair, opinion, I think he was at his best when we fleet of foot. It was confusing to the eyes seeing someone as big as him move the way he did. The whole '2fast2fury' thing was genuinely true.

But after he went on a drug and PED fuelled bender and pilled on all of that weight I think he lost the ability to move as slickly as he once used to. There is a reason why he now sits down on his punches more. Which is good because one of the holes in his game was his relative lack of power compared to other heavyweights so now he can actually bang with the best of them and certainly enough to stop someone wanting to rush in. The fact he isn't as mobile as he once used to be makes me think he finds a night with Usyk hard work, but he's too scared of a middleweight for us to ever know!

I still don't think he's a great finisher though, Wilder was waiting to be laid out after the 3rd round of the 3rd fight as he was completely gassed but it still took Fury a good few rounds to get him the hell out of there.

I see Benn is fighting in Florida this weekend. He's so cleared to fight that he has to fight abroad. I almost resect the audacity of Hearn and Benn to keep repeating "He's cleared".

Watching a few youtube interviews with Hearn today left me infuriated. The guy had the cheek to accuse Robert Smith of playing word games when he said Benn hadn't cleared his name in regards to how and why he failed two tests. Sadly media coverage of boxing outside fight weeks is almost exclusively limited to YouTuber's now and these guys careers rely on the likes of Hearn giving them access to fights, fighters etc so they'll almost never push back on the bull**** Hearn comes out with. There was an interview with Boxing News today where the interviewer tried to pin Hearn down on the whole 'cleared' thing - he wasn't being out of order or even asking overly hard questions but it ended up with Hearn digging him out about having an agenda and trying to be a hero.

Putting it all on stopping him then. Which to be honest I can understand as trundling forward and blocking shots with your head for a 12 round points win is never gonna work.

Realistically I feel Joyce is too old and one dimensional to change his game plan enough to reverse the result but obviously he’s only 1 good shot away from the win.

Joyce threw a crazy 313 punches in only 3 rounds ( 3,4 and 5 ) but had an awful landed ratio of only about 20%

And in rounds 1 and 6 only about 10% landed.

I think this was due to being particularly poor VS a very good southpaw who knows what they are doing.

So yes he does trundle forward using his head as a block but the problems run much deeper than that, you cant win with such poor punches landed ratios, that was just an awful performance overall.

God I hate this, having to subscribe to TNT for 1 night, just to watch boxing ;/

Really wanna watch it though, it would be good to see Joyce win, but after his last performance where he basically just got turned into a cauliflower, I don't see it going much differently..
