People will say that they've learnt the lesson and then he'll announce a fight with Conor McGregor* or someone and we'll see the whole hype sequence play out again - they'll show highlight reels of McGregor annihilating a punch bag, people will start to hope he's finally the guy who will go off script and ruin Jake Paul - then everyone will be moaning again the morning after another half baked points decision where nobody even looked like they tried.

*or more likely someone older and more desperate for some quick cash
Paul has huge fan base, they will watch whatever he does, that's exactly why he's famous. He'd have a millions kids watching him play chess or washing his car. Boxing just means he casts a wider net.

One thing that this fight should remind people is that there's no escaping old age (even if Tyson was told to hold back - he didn't look that bad when he fought Jones a few years ago).

If you're planning to do all your fun stuff when you retire, just remember you'll be 60-70+ most likely!

I guess one way of looking at it, is so many people were suckered in by this farce they may be in two minds to be suckered in again?

Might be the beginning of the end of this rubbish.

Here's hoping anyway!

2 minds? I think that might be too much an ask for a lot of folk that watch this nonsense

Well I’m glad Tyson got to have a nice day out and got paid without taking any real damage, win - win.

Not sure if Paul held back or Tyson defences were good enough but either way glad, probably the former.

The fact that Tyson lasted every round as a 58 year Vs a 27 year old says it all to me.

But this was just a money making scheme nothing else.

Problem is Paul will revel on this "win" and his fans will be insufferable.

Aspinal Vs Paul would put an end to it!

I stayed up and watched it after being out last night....Sad to watch but was always going to be that way - I said either Tyson KO's him inside 30 seconds OR Paul wins on points by just dancing round the ring....

Paul to be fair was very gracious after the fight and I honestly think he was doing what he need to do to win, and certainly wasn't trying to KO/hurt Tyson...

Both have made millions off the back of it but I don't want to see any 50 year olds returning to boxing anytime soon.... Sad to see at times.

I think taylor lost both her fights against serrano tbh

I certainly wouldn't disagree with you.... They are both very much a clash of styles.... One fighting coming forward all the time, with the power to KO someone.... The other fighting off the back foot and probably technically the better boxer but lacks KO power.....

Great fights both of them - classics... But certainly feel for Serrano in both - at "worst" it should be 1-1
