Ouch! Middlewight is clearly not the place to be for him, glad he will drop down. He will definitely continue, this is nothing new, however he still gets caught so easily! I was surprised he didn't back foot and pull back like he was doing in round 1 (if you watch Mayweather V Canelo that movement happened right to the end!).

Even so, them body shots were wearing him right down.

The question now is if Garcia would be an easy fight as both fighters have developed in their own way.

Respect to him for taking on such a dangerous fight, now it's time for Canelo's test! *insert dis gon b gud gif*

And Garcia didn't 'clean Kahn out'. I suggest you watch the fight again, this time with your eyes open. Garcia was getting schooled by Khan until the knock out. One punch can always change a fight.

I think the point is though Khan always seems to find that punch all by himself and to make things worse he then goes windmilling in

Its brilliant to watch , in fact you could argue he's not learnt anything since his first defeat to Breidis Prescott all those years ago :o

Do you understand what mandatory means? Garcia has to fight Khan next, so Garcia has no say in it. The President of the WBC said so last night. Khan could be bought off if the rumour of the Mayweather/Garcia fight has any truth to it, but that's a different matter.

Kell Brook posted this today:

So evidently Brook cares more about the fight then you. Do catch up :p

Well thats very charitable of Brook and an all or nothing fight for Kahn if true. But you just said Khan has to fight Garcia next... Didn't you also say the IBF title is meaningless and Kell Brook is not worth Khan's time in the other thread.

I thought Khan had bigger fights to go after. I love to know what you think those fights are. He has a rematch clause with Canelo and thats a bigger fight than Brook isn't it...

The rematch clause is only activated if Canelo loses, not if Khan loses. So that ship has sailed.

I don't think I said the IBF title is meaningless, but I don't care for Brook and don't think he has fought anyone decent apart from Porter. In terms of where he goes next, I hope he fights Garcia for the belt, then he can either fight Brook or the winner of Thurman/Porter.

I just watched all of the 30 seconds that fight lasted for the millionth time and it still put a massive smile on my face. As you say, his defence is just as poor now as it was then.

If he seriously wants to continue boxing he needs to stay away from anyone with KO power, he simply can't protect himself well enough to avoid getting hurt.

Having said that, hope he fights GGG for the lolz next.

Garcia at 140lbs would be another terrible mistake. Maybe his team feel if they throw him in the ring enough times he'll fluke a big upset at some point.

Four months with a no BS task master of a trainer to get him fit and his head out of the clouds, then a Lamont Peterson rematch. He can win that fight and get a feel for what level he's at. Get that out of the way then look at someone like Broner or Guerrero in January.

Khan can't afford to take more short cuts. I'd like to see him with someone like Enzo Calzaghe. I think with enough hard work someone like him could get Khan back on track.

As Bernard Hopkins said, Kahn has fast hands but slow feet, his footwork is very poor which hampers his already weak defence. While his handspeed is enough to make people look bad for a couple of rounds, he doesn't have the outright power to put people like Garcia away... As Khan slows down in the fight it is only a matter of time before a bomb detonates on his chin. If he fights Garcia again I can only see it being a carbon copy of the first fight.

The WBA have said the winners out of Porter v Thurman and Mosley v Avanesyan have to face each other. Mosley shouldn't be getting in with guys like Porter and Thurman.
