I think Virgil Hunter let himself down with the comments at the end about Canelo hiding behind the flag. Unnecessary.
Feel sorry for khan. He left himself open for nothing. Didn't seem like a big punch but it must have been one.
It's Khans advisors/team who really should be hanging their head in shame, and those who made the fight. They should be giving Khan a reality check and keeping his feet firmly on the ground because this was always gonna be a step too far, he hasn't even done anything significant at 147lbs yet, why would he step up to 155? Money.
Such a daft fight for him to take, he did well in the first 5 rounds but could he realistically hope to avoid getting tagged for 12 rounds?! Maybe a more disciplined fighter with a top defence could manage it but Khan has never been that!
Still probably makes the Brook fight more of a prospect now, Khan can't really afford to duck it much longer.
Superb to see Khan get Knocked the **** out.![]()
I must have watched the Punch 50+ times already, What a punch.![]()

Why? There are much better fights for Khan. Besides, isn't he mandatory for Garcia's belt? If he must fight Brook then a unification fight with both holding a belt would be better surely?
Brook is a bigger fight than Canleo, but what do you mean by much better fights? and what belt would Khan be bringing to the Brook match exactly?
You do realise this might retire Khan?
Garcia has the WBC Welterweight belt doesn't he? Khan is the mandatory, so assuming Khan can beat him then he and Brook can meet for a unification.
I don't see Brook being bigger than Canelo.
I'm very sorry OcUK but it seems another injection of reality is required.
Khan has beefed up to middleweight, now he's going drop down to 140lbs and take a belt from a fighter that's cleaned him out at 147lbs? Brook could fight for Garcia's 140lbs title this summer.
Why would Kell Brook give a monkeys about fighting Khan even if he managed to take the WBC welterwieght belt and how do you trun that into a unification fight exactly? Kell is a super welter, and top one at that.
You do realise Kell Brook is top level fighter and Amir Khan isn't right.
The fight went pretty much as most people expected and it was a needlessly dangerous encounter.
Brook v Khan would be a great payday for both. More $$$ than Brook Garcia surely?
A Brook fight would probably go the same way as the Canelo fight (which I've yet to watch) although it depends on how good Brook's defense is in the early stages. Brook definitely has the power to trouble Khan.
Khan should retire, he's got nothing to prove to anyone. He's won belts, he's won medals, he needs to find another passion.
