Delivery experiences

Hi all, ordered my phone from Gearbest on 15th Jan. They shipped on 21st and singapore post shows it arriving in UK processing depot. My singapore reference number also works on the royal mail website. It shows that it arrived in Heathrow on 25th. The problem is the royal mail website now shows that they have no information on my shipment - for 11 days!

Anyone had a similar experience?
It can take an age to get through after landing. I think mine took 3 weeks in total from order (11/11 order 2/12 received), but it obviously depends on how busy things are.

can anyone give my some advise on were to buy a xiaomi redmin 5 plus , i've seen one on aliexpress which say no customs charge to the uk in 5/8 working days but when you go to order it says dhl express in 7/14 days i'm not convinced i wont get charged fees.
or any recommendations on where to order from, is there anything else i need to look out for apart from ordering the one with a global rom.

I ordered mine from Gearbest for £146.79 on 2nd Feb using UK priority mail shipping method and it was shipped out the next day with the invoice marked as Multimedia player gift with a value of $20.

I have always used the UK priority mail option as there is no import tax to pay as they ship from China/HK to a UK address and then forwards it to you via Royal Mail.

What's the most logical upgrade to the Mi5? Was thinking the A1 but have read too many bad reviews on it.

What, it's £308 from your link ... the One Plus 5t is £433 for the global version (remembering Gearbests usual shonkiness between "international" versions and "global" versions) ... so it is quite a bit cheaper.

What have the reviews said?
Almost all I have seen rate it highly. Only bad I have read is from a user in this thread..

And that's the only bad review I've seen as well :)

My son is very happy with his, he's been pretty much abusing it since Christmas without a hitch :)

There's been a few owners of it in this thread I think. Some still have it. There just seems to be a few teething problems some users experience. IIRC there was a video posted of the ROM being really slow and sluggish.

Once they fix the issues it MiA1, will be an ok phone but to be honest, a lot of new models will be out by then.

My battery is lasting barely a work day now. Shocking really.

It's down ten percent just browsing in bed b4 I get up for work.....

Right, not been here for a while. I've had my Redmi Note 4 global (Snapdragon octo, 3GB, 32GB) for about a year now and feeling the upgrade itch.

The only thing my Note 4 doesn't do well enough is low light photos. A couple of mates have Samsung S8s and the photos from those are superb compared to the grainy/blurry mess mine takes :( in daylight it's very good tbh..

What's next? I had a Note 3 before and would like to stick to Xiaomi as have been impressed.
